Anyone else getting this? Or is it SK's usual laggy crap?
Extreem lag since the patch
If anything, the lag's been better for me since the update. Maybe see how it is tomorrow or so when less people are likely to be on at the same time.
Yeah the servers are over populated with people. I think I saw 30 haven servers before, just for the English channel, alone.
Yeah, I was playing just fine yesterday then the patch happened. Didn't just lag, but the game crashed on my within a few minutes :/ Sadness

Servers are blowing with ppl logging on and grinding at black dog.
Both servers have lags. I want few sparks of life as compensation.
I was dropped immediately after the first click when logging in yesterday.
Today, I played a mission with 3 other Guildies. The leader was U.S. like me, and the other two were from Europe and the Middle East.
Everyone had a terrible connection the whole time. Lag would spike for all immediately after pressing any party button, leading to the least control when there are the most enemies on the screen.
In the past I have received explanations from Devs that your video driver must be out of date, it's really connection issues on my end, maybe my comp isn't powerful enough to be on the highest graphic setting, etc.
Well, having my whole party experience synchronized slowdown primarily when there's a lot happening on the screen, does seem like its traffic related on OOO's end. I hope its reduced in severity soon.
EDIT: I could go on a big rant, but I'd also like a few Sparks of Life as compensation.
OOO's changes to the game lead to an incentive for them to cause players to die more so they can make money on CE purchases. The more I think about that the more any systemic lag leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
My actual net lag has certainly been worse (or at least more unstable) since the big Battle Sprite update, but what really gets me are the moments of what seem like client-side lag that happen when some new entity or effect pops up. I get a nice 1-second jump or so every time a party button spawns a bunch of new enemies, or when someone uses a Spark of Life...and if someone's joining a level in-progress, forget about it, I have absolutely no idea where I'll wind up. The SK engine seems poorly-optimized in terms of graphical effects in general, but it feels like it's really bad at pre-caching effects so that they don't jolt the heck out of your play when they're loaded.

but seriously, lag has been sort of getting worse, but seems to be constant for tge past few months. Its bearable, but good luck getting dauntless delver achievement with it.
Simple resolution: get better Internet connection, get 4 bars >:D
Wrong. I HAVE four bars. ALWAYS.
Regardless I sent a Support Request after dying to lag spikes one time too many. We'll see if it makes any difference.

What? do you people all have Dial Up or something? I have DSL which is slightly below average and I never lag (unless of course there's a full party of bombers using blast bombs).

but ive been having disconnects, where reconnecting says something about a "temporary network outage" or something like that
Yeah, temporary network outage. and the support answer was to file a bug report. After I've been disconnected...
Plus they close your question after such an answer, leaving me no option but the facepalm.
It's been almost unplayable for three weeks now...
