I only have a steam account, and it's not recognizing my steam username as a spiral knights account. How am I supposed to play the game now? Is it even going to recognize steam:######################## as a username?
UPDATE: I try steam:########### and it crashes the game. Hooray.
So how am I supposed to log in?

Alright, so I started playing this game via steam. I kinda forgot about it and I just recently picked it back up. In my haste , I failed to notice that I was logging on as a guest. now at the title screen all I see is a box to play as a guest. If it helps, I did save the guest account... I dunno why I did that. Did I lose all my stuff? or is there some way to re-access the previous account?

Use Steam
To play your Spiral Knights account that is associated with your Steam account, use the Steam client. Run the game in Steam, then on the login screen, make sure you have the "Use Steam Account" checkbox selected (the username and password entry boxes will disappear), then click Logon.

When I played, there was NO
When I played, there was NO option for logging in with Steam, otherwise I wouldn't have this issue. It only asked for username or Facebook, or as guest.
EDIT: It seems that one of the updates has resolved that issue in the last 24 hours. I was about to show how the log-in screen lacked said Steam login option before, but now it automatically logged me in to my select-a-knight screen.
Launch the game via steam and it should log in on it's own. IF for any reason during gameplay you log out (or for other reason land at the login screen) there is a checkbox to login with steam, recheck it and it should login on it's own. IF your SK account was created separately from SK site, then the first time you use THAT login and steam will automatically transform it. You also have the chance to login as guest (but that won't save your created character unless you create an account).
