I encountered 5 Large Purple Kats in the first depth of that mission alone. I know that the chance of finding the kats is randomized, but doesn't the Weight of Darkness mission have more kats than any other monster compared to Alone in the Dark?
P.s. I found 7 kats in total on the whole mission :o

i take weight of darkness for crystals and alone in the dark for orbs, but orbs r so rare, that im stocking up on crystals for now
If you want the best chance of getting the book of dark rituals, do Alone in the dark, if you don't care or aren't a champion or vanguard, do Weight of Darkness.
An Occurrence at Owlite Keep should also be good. The first level is a graveyard, which you can just run through. The second level is a Scarlet Fortress type, with many kats. The third level is a Candlestick Keep type, with many kats. As a bonus, the mission has one of the highest crown payouts in the game (although you probably lose a lot of crowns if you skip the graveyard).
