You forum readers, what keeps you coming back for more? What do you enjoy on any part of the forums and why? Are we really that interesting?

I can't function in the outside world, so I have to come here.

Nah, mostly because I enjoy it.

Oh dear. Remind me never to partake in that.

Or perhaps you're just jelly cuz you don't have kids and secretly want them...

And I missed an awesome opportunity with this thread to say "cheaper than a movie and it has free coffee."

Kids are gross. My brothers have kids and every time they visit I'm exposed to second-hand kids.

So rude.

@Wispur

Oh yeah, that is a good point. I've learned way way way more than I ever need to about this game because of the forums... a lot from Zeddy, a little from Bopp and much more from everyone in general posting things. Like the whole shift to bomb or whatnot was news to me, as was the workings of autotarget and the 3 hit heavy sword trick. These things can really help you in the game.

@Nercomancers

Awww, thanks.

Of course, I tend to stick to the Treasure Vault, so what do I know?

Really, the treasure vault? I don't like the place. Too much fan-fiction. I love the artwork that people make, but I have a vendetta against fan fiction. Most of it is poorly written to boot, and I'd much rather see them grow a pair and write their own story with their own universe rather than rely on the SK universe. Art is different, because to become a great artist, you must first master Realism, then you can move on to the more Romantic elements. That's my view anyway.

But really, what do you like about Treasure Vault?

D:

That post really hurt my feelings. ;_; Cause I'm one of those people who write stories.

Although

"write their own story with their own universe rather than rely on the SK universe."

Been there, done that. Anyway, if you knew the sheer amount of lore and backstory and stuff I've already thought of for my SK stories, you'd be amazed. Maybe. I'm not you so I wouldn't really know. But most other people are :o

What I like about the Treasure Vault; The friendliest, most creative place in the forums. :D I remember some guy posted something about not venturing into the TV often cause "all the concentrated happiness here creeps me out."

Well I'm not going to hate you for it, its more the fact that we don't have a seperate forum for writing than anything. Its too hard to sort out the good from the bad there. I'm actually a bit of a fan of creative writing (but like I said- I dislike fan-fiction), but usually only if there are people to read it to me, that way I can knit while following along.

I never knew that people there would be kind or nicer or anything. Probably because I almost never check things there.

I stick to whatever I happen to be thrown at.

Last week I was in an industrial meat grinder. I was ground into sausage, fed to a few dozen unsuspecting nitwits, flushed after an hour of constipation per person, then reformed in the sewers as a dripping and clumsy abomination of whimsical wonder. I frolicked for several seconds through the happy fields of sewage and homeless people, but every time I found one of them to hug my sewage flesh would consume them until they were nothing more than a few bones picked clean of any trace of flesh. When I found an exit I came to the surface to enjoy the sunshine, but there were these mean children who pointed and laughed at my beauty then began throwing various explosive devices their parents thought would make excellent toys for their growing toddlers. My body was obliterated again and each piece began to form tiny versions of myself which instinctively swarmed the children and devoured their flesh, all except the internal organs. It would be impolite to take the best part for myself. Surely the parents would be interested in partaking in the fruits of their labor, especially the mother. When the parents began to wonder why their children were quiet since they were kicking and screaming earlier they noticed a pile of internal organs and blood everywhere while I was standing there idiotically as usual, so I waved to them and gestured to the pile for their enjoyment. When they ran screaming back into their homes I shrugged it off as shyness and was on my way again, casually rolling along the street and ingesting any vehicles and stray cats that I happened to crush. I eventually splattered on a brick wall at the end of a road where a camp of hippies were performing the satanic ritual to summon the Court of Unusually Naughty Tyrants, an organization dedicated to hateful behavior and leaving toilet seats up, which was interrupted by my flesh-melting sewage which by now has become riddled with car parts and small bundles of fur. The hippies transformed into their vehicle modes and began farting various kinds of birds at me in a desperate attempt to make the situation sillier but to no avail, as the birds turned inside out upon smelling the freshly baked scones I was unaware were somewhere in my stomach. They bounced off and landed with loud squishy sounds until a large pile of inside out birds began to form, eventually becoming so massive that the birds squished together into a giant blob of inside out birds, which condensed into a single giant inside out bird which exploded into confetti and string cheese all over New Jersey. The mess was so horrendous that the cast of Jersey Shore cannibalized one another so the only survivor was a comb and a bottle of hair gel. This sacrifice pleased the god of sensible entertainment who ascended from its special place in hell to offer the restoration of my body to its former crate-with-eyebrows silliness, which I immediately accepted along with a strawberry ice cream cone and a handful of mud. The process was excruciatingly painful and we had to stop for pretzels a few times, but in the end I got a lollipop since the ice cream was transformed into a rampaging hippopotamus with bicycle wheels instead of legs and unicorn horns coming from its eyeballs. Once again as my crate-self, I rolled upward through the ceiling and belched on some birds to mutate them into helicopters piloted by large bras shooting tiny crossbows attached to the ni-

The rest of this post has been removed by the few sane people who have yet to kill themselves in the asylum. Please send help. We need food, water, ammunition, and a few kegs full of six sided dice. Please, no questions. We really need these things to stay alive. No, we need to stay here; as much as we want to escape this hell, someone has to keep that thing in here and away from the rest of the world. Wait, where are you going? Please come back! Come back!

The community in the TV is just ridiculously nice and stuff. :D I suppose it's cause it's all just creation and imagination in there, so there are no threads about stuff the forum community is split about. Like AT and how good an update is and complaints about the forge and stuff.

The nicest person in there is probably Tevokkia. :o She hosts these massive contests that last for months and have really expensive prizes. In her first contest OOO actually advertised for her contest a bit on their FB and stuff. She ended up getting a Purple Spiral for what she did.

The only time I remember the TV being a (incredibly) unhappy place was when some guy who I will not name came in and just screwed stuff up so badly. I won't bother you with the details, but pretty much everyone hated him and sent complaints to the community managers. I think he got banned, but he recently returned and seems much more mature.

And a random little fun fact: I may have inadvertently started the thing that lead to the creation of the TV forums. But it's probably just a little wishful thinking on my part ;)

And apparently while I was typing this Luguiru came in and posted one of his marvelous story things :D

I remember I used to build minecraft stuffs for the game, but then someone moved my thread and I vowed never to do anything artistic for SK again. This is because I absolutely hate it when people move my threads without telling me. Even if they are right to move it. I think a fundamental truth to the universe is to not care about reasoning.

I usually only read in game event details or maybe some helpful information posted by other players, example: Most seen black kat area is in this section! 90% of the topics I haven't even clicked on.

I read the forums because I have nothing better to do. And to see the latest of the Lug's stories.

You'd probably hate what I'm writing now, then. Or rather, what I'm trying to write... I've restarted twice now, and I'm thinking I need to start again a third time.

I originally joined the forums to make this (not so great) thread I had in mind for a long time:

http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/79090

So yeah I started off making pretty terrible threads...

But I still use forums because...well, why not? :D

I used to read the forums way back in 2011-2012, but I only started using it this year...
