Like, I know for a fact that Zeddy has already farmed enough of those tokens for several lifetimes, and I myself farmed quite a few tokens before getting my temp ban.... its partially the excitement of there being an event going on, and partially that I was wondering about how they've changed up the event. Perhaps they're right to keep the "event excitement" going, rather than just leaving us with another boring boss... like how we don't value the roarmulus twins as content much of the time.
So I noticed that a lot of people have been farming kats when they don't need to.

There has only been a total 17 days (right?) that you could find black kats in.
It takes 200 pages to get one 5* hat
There are 3 5* kat hoods.
So how do people already have SIX HUNDRED TOKENS IN SEVENTEEN DAYS? Free elevators notwithstanding. Some people have lives and can't (or don't want to) play one game 18 hours straight.

Oh you're definitely right about that. Actually, the amount things are worth is at least in part dependent on how hard/undesirable they are to do. So the kats should be relatively desirable of an activity due to their promotional nature, forcing a sort of inflation... but if it were allowed to sit, farming kats would be slightly more profitable than farming FSC, as more people would rather farm FSC.

But really, just go buy the kat related materials with a name that will get me banned from the auction house. Nothing is stopping that.

1. I spent most of my cr the day before on an Elite Iron Harness. And I'm sure the mats are obscenely expensive.
2. Speaking of FSC, I'll never understand why people play this game purely for virtual profit and not to HAVE FUN (which is what games are supposed to be for). How do they not get sick of doing the same 4 levels over and over for months on end? Especially if you need Fire Crystals or Orbs or sprite feeding that you can't do in FSC.
3. its still not fair that this event is so obscenely short.
Oh yeah and the people who "don't need to" farm them are probably just greedy for more crowns, so they're selling them for absurd profits.

I'd agree. But maybe they've got something planned in the near future. I hope its tortodrones and if it is don't hurt me because I honestly don't know if it is and am just aiming in the dark here.
The most common excuse for farming I've heard is "my parents won't let..." which is kind of battlesprite. But someday, they will have their own plastic money powers... when I was that age, I could just get my friends to buy stuff for me and I'd hand them cash if I really wanted to. And I rarely wanted to.

I got a thousand and a half pages during last event. The invitation-scheme thing and an elevator pass made it quite a simple affair with me earning a bit over a hundred tokens per hour. I did surprisingly little no-lifing for it and took several entire days off to spend time with my friends. Since the event lasted for about two weeks, it amounted to a bit more than an hour per day.
This time around it's just kind of sad. I find more life sparks than black kats.
Since I'd also invite people who didn't have the resources to make constant speedruns on their own, and considering the fact that I mostly got tokens so I could share with other people, I effectively scrounged up I'd say about 3k pages.

I got way less than 20, but then I wasn't exactly trying to farm them or anything.
I think it would be easier to farm FSC to buy the Kat Kontent since you would let someone else do the disappointing grinding while you actually played the game.
