I would say that forumers are all famous/infamous in their own way.
People will talk about balance and bombs to zeddy or send a troll msg to luguiru...
I get kudos for saying things directly too... strangely enough... but I guess voicing our opinions is good anyway, it's because of our constant critique that the game has been going on.
We should give a pat on our back more often ^ ^
And we should visit the Suggestion section more often o.O
Thankfully, if anyone has recognized me, they didn't say anything. I've seen a few forumers in game, but that's the extent of it.
I wonder if I started asking to buy Snipe pies for 20cr each every time I log on, people would recognize me?
Haha, the only reason people on the SK forums are 'famous' is that they post in it. A lot.
The wiki guy, the good guy who leaves the game, the LD troll, the fashion duchess, the drama duchess, the blogger, the research blogger, the asylum dude, GMs, these are the people we remember on the forums because most of what they say in their posts are consistent with their forum personalities. Also because they make and reply to a lot of threads. They have something to say, and they want to be heard. It doesn't matter much if their threads are a day apart from each other or if they contain questionable content.
The rest of the forums are made up of quitters, whiners, ban petitioners, named and shamed scammers, newbies, and people with nothing much to say. They get forgotten as soon as their threads reach page 10.
Who doesn't like a little attention anyway?

If you really do have a fanbase, you should have made a thread like that. We need someone with clout saying this. I don't understand why 000 doesn't have this on their radar.

And moved on. But I guess it's kinda nice to be recognized.
People treat you like celebrities, because you are always posting, give good ideas, use good arguments, etc...
Luiguru, for example, is one of you. He/She always used to visit the suggestions subforum, posting about the players' ideas.
You are normal people, but you are active voice on community. This makes you to be recognized.
For example, I remember you as "the guy that play very well", after the Statusless weapons VS JK video.
And there were like a bunch who recognized me when I PWNED THEM ( lockdown skills.) I'm so humble...

I have been recognised by only one person in SK, and that was when I was running Alone in the Dark for Black Kats.
We have a couple of forumers in our guild. It's kinda funny though because there's this one guy that's not in my guild and he's something of a fan when I'm no one who's done something crazy like Fehzor/Zeddy level. Qwote's famous for dropping oRSS between Vana's balls. Zeddy's famous for dropping every other bomb between everyone else's balls. Fehzor's famous for dropping threads on the forums. I didn't do any of that but that one guy seems to think I'm the most famous guy ever. It cracks me up.

People refer to me as "That forum guy" They said i post a lot.
I've had a few people recognize me recently. Just be glad they read your posts and like you (in a friend/fan sort of way). It's not like they're going to invade your house with paparazzi cameras, news vans and microphones.

I get recognized from the forums and lockdown. Lockdown is the place where I met new friends. ^_^
I've gotten quite a decent amount of guild applications from people who recognized me from the forums.
It feels good.

The story of the first time we met.
I met you on an FSC run along with your guildie who happened to be my friend. Back then I was nooby and stuff, so FSC was not my specialty, I wasn't even vanguard. Up to the last depth before boss, in the last room, with the fire and spikes, me and my friend died and you raged at us for not being able to handle anything, I admit you were half right. So you professionally Blitzed everything with no damage taken while we watched in awe and finally you finished the last wave.
You said: "And that's how it's done."
Then immediately you walked on a spike trap and died. (Legit, swear to God)
But the motivation in you made you revive yourself and we continued to the boss.
Again you raged as we continually died and eventually quit, and after me and my friend painstakingly finished Vanaduke off we met in your guild hall and casually chatted.
Ahh....when you look back, it's quite funny.

There is always someone who hates me from forums or recognizes me. I also get random people sending friend requests and guild invitations.
I do not use an avatar picture for this reason. Nor do I start threads. I usually only play to have real time conversation. Using the forum to hold discussion is a time consuming effort.
I like how this topic wasn't moved to Gremlin Chatter until three months after its creation.
Couldn't we just all agree that the thread "Humpty dumpty" made was just a way to get attention?

Only time I was recognized by someone was because I am in this top BN guild called Machinists. Nobody actually knows who I am D; /e is sad.
