I'll make the effort towards managing a serious thread today.

I like the suggestions subforum. Every once in a while a great idea pops up.
People discuss, the idea gets tweaked, etc etc, till a consensus is reached.

What happens next is the awkward part: people are done discussing it. The tread is done
This is the part where input by OOO is needed. Otherwise it dies a silent death, joining the other threads that are done at page 50.

So how would I go about this?
If from OOO's perspective, they could make a montly shortlist of suggestions that are viable/manageable for them.
Suggestions that fit in with their respective vision of the game.

This would motivate us to further refine those threads, and get an idea of where the game is headed.
Give us a sense of having some input, some communication that goes 2 ways which the community feels is needed.

I'm just throwing this into the wide world. Not as a suggestion, but as a discussion.
I want to know how the players themselves would feel about it.

I have nothing against this.

I recall a GM addressing this very issue at some point. Basically, they believe it'd be counter-productive to have devs chime in on which suggestions are good or not, as it's drastically alter the playerbase' perception of suggestions that get commented on or not.

We've been assured that everything suggested does get read.

I was thinking of creating a page on the wiki that regular forumers could contribute to and add all the threads that gained lots of attention and are good reads.

@Hex

You already made a summary of good threads, as did other people.
All you'd be doing is make another shortlist in a different location.

I appreciate your shortlist btw, I just don't know if another one on another place would actually.. make a difference I guess.

@Zeddy: I always assumed it was read, but it's still one way communication /:

All you'd be doing is make another shortlist in a different location.

But it'd be easily accessible and wouldn't sink to the black abyss of the internet.

Guess that's true.
If you want to put your energy into it that is.

Here's another thing: The only people (except Skye, for which i'm thankful) responding here are you and zeddy.
I know you guys always put in the intelligent answers and such,
but I wanna hear the rest of this community in something constructive. Instead of plain whining as always..

I'm guessing it's idle hope from my side.

We, the community, could make the list

At the end of every month (or the start of a new one) an active member of the forum could make a "monthly suggestion thread" that links back to the most active or realistic threads in the suggestion subforum. This new thread could be on the general discussion to either recap, add onto, or modify past suggestions while giving them a wider audience(I mostly lurk in the general discussion, I wouldn't be surprised if others did too).

... I mostly just restated what Feyi said, but merely saying "+1" seems so unfulfilling.

And even if the thread isn't sticky'd, if the community has extra thoughts, they'll keep the thread alive.

my 2 cents

Since I'm logged on...

I think it's a great idea. The suggestion section is almost unread by most people, SK is staling with big titles coming up (even myself got caught up in Saint's Row 4 and might not even farm Kat event that much!! o.O) at this point in year

We are all gamers after all... GTA is a big title to compete against

+1, just don't hate on us because we are busy farming or playing others game atm ^ ^

We'll be back......!!!

@Fangel: Good point posting the summary into General Discussion. I like it!

@Shamanala: totally get you, caught up in Borderlands myself atm because the SK market is currently drained.
