That's not true. The mic icon only means they HAVE a mic. I've had people with no icon hear my perfectly fine.

Have you seen the micspam that goes on in TF2? I'd rather not go through the Clockworks hearing "I'm Sexy and I Know It" the whole time.

People mic spam in SK anyway. Mic spam is not hindered by any of the issues mentioned here, yet despite that it happens very rarely. Besides, muting people in SK is twice as easy since you don't have to navigate the Esc menu.

Gmod has same issues plus MY charater randomly has it on when I join a party and I don't have mic and they here me
Not only that, but it's really buggy. There seems to be a few seconds of delay and it echoes sometimes, especially when you're getting on the lift.
As far as when we can tell whenever people have voice chat enabled or not, you do know there is a mic icon on the person's I.D. to tell you that it's on, right?
