Yea, so I was hunting Black Kats, I come across some prize boxes and go completely wat when I see that nothing drops out of two of the 5 boxes. (Except confetti, but we can't pick those up).

I sent an in-game bug report but figured I might as well make a post on here too.

Baby otter requests fix too.

Did you check your inventory for ghost items? Could have been a graphic bug.

No, I didn't. I have way too much stuff in my inventory to know if I had picked up anything anyway.

It happened again today, but with a heart box. It gave nothing. I went over the place to see if the hearts were there, but just invisible, but I recovered no health. So I guess it's not just a graphical bug.

I think I know what this is

I've had this happen to me, as well. I'm pretty sure they changed it in the last update so that vitapods that are equal to or worse than the one you have are either invisible or they just don't drop. So, if you have a +12 vitapod, and you break a treasure or heart box that would drop another +12 (or less) vitapod, it appears to drop nothing instead.

The reasons I think this is the case are:
1) I never see a vitapod drop anymore that is equal to or less than the one I have equipped (sometimes one will drop, and then another before I pick up the first one, but never once I already have one equipped).
2) I only see "empty" treasure/heart boxes when I have a vitapod equipped.
3) It makes sense that they would want to stop vitapods from dropping that are inferior to the one you already have, since you can't share them with party members anymore. (Especially given the latest patch where they increased the drop rate of vitapods. All those extra vitapods laying around would get messy.)

I'm not sure if it's a bug, a poorly implemented change, or a bad design decision.
