From what I've gathered in the two years or so of playing, it seems the Spiral Order was comprised of a relative few number of higher ranking knights, the NPCs of the game and the Alpha Squad, along with some millions of recruits, the players, who had completed the training necessary to join the Order, which allows them to use auto-targeting when desired and to know how to operate weaponry and equip/use defensive items, and upon crash landing on Cradle, the players are simply the recruits who survived the crash and got out of the escape pod. Each new player is a recruit who survived. No new player ever happens to be a lieutenant who survived the crash and thus already has powerful equipment; just a recruit. During their time on Cradle, many of these recruits will/managed to acquire more powerful equipment and rise to higher positions in the Order, but upon leaving the escape pod, everyone starts off as one of the countless recruits the Order had for some reason.

Ah Rendon...
High ranking or not, he still was the one who decided to hand that artifact to the gremlin.
He should have been demoted for doing such a thing.
Don't even get me started on him misguiding players about blitz needle, not a good idea to use it on everything you encounter.

He gave Razwog the artifact because he thought it would save the lives of him and everyone in the party. Anyway, Spiral HQ mysteriously obtained the artifact after that and put it in the lab.

A Spark won't save you if your body gets blasted into a million pieces, or falls through the now non-existant floor and hits a random Skydome Crane some 15 kilometres below.

Maybe he killed a Chromalisk with his bare hands and it either dropped a Blitz Needle. I believe the chance of receiving any weapon on the surface is approximately...

Or unless he found and used a time machine, went into the future, played a future Expansion pack mission and a monster in that mission dropped a Blitz Needle. He then returned back to the present and showed off to everyone in the Spiral Order that he was the first to get a Blitz, or possibly even a 5* weapon.

For all Rhendon knew it could have killed them. Rhendon doesn't have extensive knowledge on the power of Gremlin explosives like Razwog does.
He crashed before us. He already got his 5* Steller Set before any of us figured out how to get out of the battle pod.
