They do, ladies and gents, Gremlins do have tails.

And I have the facts to prove it! Or rather, the SK wiki has the facts to prove it, as I am 1. Blissfully unaware of this game's inner workings and 2. Generally incompetent. I'm trusting the wiki and/or the good people who run, maintain, and sustain it to be correct while I make these wondrous claims. Technically, I could test this theory, but that requires work...and I'm lazy. If anyone has connected these dots earlier, then all to 'em, but let it be known that I've copyrighted the idea. And if somebody copyrighted the idea earlier, then all to 'em, call my lawyer.

Okay, bottom line is, Gremlins drop Bushy Tails. To drop a bushy tail, one must either be carrying a tail, or simply have one on their person. I suspect the latter out of our loveable enemies, and conclude that these Gremlins do indeed have bushy tails on them, which raises the question, why haven't we seen these tails?

The only proper way to find out is to watch the fabled "Tev Gremlin Tail Song" song. This incredible masterpiece of music and insightful lyrics provide all the explanation you need. Honestly, I haven't listened to it in months, so it could very possibly not be at all about Gremlins and tails, but still watch it. :D

I just realised I just spent a half hour stumbling along typing this at 2 in the morning. You know it's late when you have to retype the word 'masterpiece' 4 times. xD
Check ya'll later, goodnight.

You guys are total dorks ...

... but I love that.

Here's the stupid song and the original comic that it came from (if you could call it that). XD

Honestly, though ... I've never actually seen a gremlin drop a bushy tail. Methinks I'm either just not that lucky or the gremlins I've run across have wanted to keep hold of theirs.

Oh, good times XD

Thanks for those links Tev, I spent the rest of last night looking for them. I can't remember coming across any Gremlin tails either, I guess it may be a rare drop placed in just to show OOO's feelings on the matter. :P

Oh, and hi everybody! XD

As long as we're trusting the Wiki...

Not surprisingly: Demos, Mortafires, and Scorchers don't drop any Bushy Tails for they've likely already burned them away or blown them to bits be it intentionally or otherwise (they would probably be fire hazards anyway as if Gremlins cared about that sort of thing). I'm almost more surprised that they all haven't done so.
Ghostmane Stalkers of course, don't drop them for they've certainly cut off any that they might've grown in favor of greater stealth.
Interestingly, many lower Tier Gremlins don't drop tails either leading me to believe that the growth of them is either the result of the Core's effects or simply Gremlin maturity. Assuming the latter would support the many theories in which a Gremlin's age determines its clan (Tenderfoot, Ironclaw, Darkfang) which in turn might also explain why Knockers don't drop Bushy Tails either if we are to assume their relative diminutive size is also a result of their adolescence.

Oh boy

In other words were running around lopping off the tails from our dead foes much like Indians collecting scalp trophies.

Wonderful.

This has been Happyapathy turning an innocent thread into something dark and disturbing, you are welcome.

Y'know ...

What I believe I've said before (although it may have been on Tumblr) is that gremlins with bushy tails who go into the military probably have them cut off so as not to be a liability on the battlefield. They don't seem to be all that functional for balance anymore, given the habitual stance of the gremlins we see. Maybe any bushy tails dropped by gremlins are the tails they cut off they keep as mementos or good luck charms.
