I am forging a 3 star to four star; after one Jk elevator, I am heated one level--each time, so I must quit the mission, forge the level and start all over: so to heat the 3 star to four star I must repeat this process five times; then of course, the four star gets heated one level or one half, then quit, forge, start all over. I would think that even if I get heated to one level, the subsequent mission heat would carry over to the next forgin, but the way it is, I must always quit missions just to forge one level. This seems very silly. Perhaps I don't understand the correct way of forging and/or the purpose of this-quit-mission-after-one-elevator-and-start-over-again change.
Thanks.
forging repetition: Is Heat accumulated?
I haven't heated any equipment under the new system, but I've seen other people complaining about this exact problem. The issue is that there are no arsenal stations after the first level of Royal Jelly Palace. It does seem rather silly. One workaround is to run other areas, such as typical Clockworks levels, where there is an arsenal station on each level.
Ok, then I understand that there is a degree of pointlessness in the forging change. (I don't see any reason for it.)
"Addition" and "change" are two concepts SK doesn't seem to understand: I like additions to the game, but the changes seem lacking in rationale.
In any case, cheers and have fun. Thanks.
The reason is simple... just want to "counteract" the free elevator cost and "slow down" the process of getting 5* gears that we could do it once per day if we wanted to at the pre-update end games. Though I agreed that there may be some better solution than this ones.
Even though I'm not a fan of new levelling up system, I have to point out that, as you called it, quit-mission-after-one-elevator-and-start-over-again is only applied to 4 missions. If you're doing another missions or regular Arcade runs, there are arsenal Stations at each level (apart Treasure Vault - you hear me OOO? Put Arsenal Station there so I can equip sword to cut shrubs when I get there), so you can level up you weapon after every single level. In a way, new levelling system encourages players to go into regular levels instead of farming bosses over and over. At least I hope it will be one of its side effects.
Of course I'm not saying Arsenal Station in GW, RJP, IMF and FSC would be bad thing.
Yes, I agree with Poopsie and Merethif those are the reasons and with Merethif that would be a fair compromise ( Forging stations on missions). Yet, I think SK has made it a bit too expensive (50 shining @ 350 CE) and too time consuming. I believe this change is-- of the many recent--the worst, but that is neither here nor there...In any case, I feel lucky that I have everything I need, so after this last crafting, I am done crafting 2 star stuff bought at auction with great UVs and will just buy 5 star and spin the wheel. Thanks again for responding to my dismay. Cheers.
I have no problem with shining to be honest. I personally picked depth 19 - 21 arcades that has either arena, treasure vault or clockwork tunnels (like haunted passage, gremlin grounds etc) that has a chance of spawning danger areas. Those themes could net you 20-ish shining stones per depth. However, elite orbs of alchemy is the one I have trouble finding.
Yes but you could ask favor from your friend to reserve your space so you could join right back after heating. Heck, you can even click go back to haven, while in loading screen, click forge shortcut, level it up, click friend list to join your mission again. The whole process would take only about 10 secs. Arcade depths would be the fastest way in this case (except if you're heating 5* level 5+), since arsenal station are available almost on every depth, boss runs sadly only have one arsenal station right at the beginning.
