I had a question to ask, especially to those who already have a lv 100 Sprite, mine is past level 50 and I have a SERIOUS problem just getting one level, so my question is that at that high level, do you give your sprite a 5* mat or his favourite food ?

anecdotal quantification
I don't have detailed data in front of me, but let me anecdotally compare two basic strategies:
A. Feed your sprite materials (of the appropriate star-level).
B. Use your materials, crowns, and minerals to feed your sprite his preferred food (of the appropriate star-level).
Strategy B seems to generate about four times as much heat. So it is efficient, both in time and material use. It is inefficient in crown and mineral use. So you have to decide which resources (time and materials, vs. crowns and minerals) are your limiting factors.
My impression is that leveling up a sprite is intended by Three Rings to be a long-term project. Only knights who have been playing for a long time, who have big stores of materials, minerals, and crowns, are able to level up their sprites immediately.
it depends on how many materials, minerals and time you have.
right now I'm level 77 and it takes 2 days to level up without sprite food and feeding him with 3* mats (keeping the 5* for food and the 4* are low). until you don't use 5* mats for something, give it to them. stack orbs till you have them for level 75 (when it changes food), then start feeding it with that.
if you have lots of minerals and matserials, craft all the food you need and start throwing it at your sprite's face at once.
