i think that we should be able to buy a camo or paint for our weapons. maybe like a pink skin for the Leviathon blade and so on... a red skin for the brandish etc.
Maybe a bit like the Guardian Knight Arkus' sword, if your thinking of the Leviathon blade (a skin for the sword: Leviathon Blade).

Well maybe if it were something small like changing Divine Avenger's blue ribbon to a green one. Or maybe adding a glow to the brandish line swords to make Glacius look colder/ Acheron look deadlier....
Pretty sure something could go wrong even with that though. You might be better off thinking of a whole new weapon for OOO
We already have this. Our PC modifys our Battle Sprites, and I bet that yoou can't say they aren't weapons.
If you want to change it for your personal preference:
Locate the Spiral Knights data folder on your comp and find the skins for the weapons. (I believe I saw one at least for brandish and GF)
Make a copy of their image file and edit it to suit your preference (just keep the parameters the same).
Rename the original image by adding a number to the end.
Move your modified image into the file and change the name to that of the original image.
Start Spiral Knights and see how it looks.
Tweak until you are satisfied.
If you want people online to see it...yeah GL petitioning OOO.
don't say that on the forums, it's against the ToS.
If the game was designed well enough, there's nothing someone can do on the client side that will affect actual multiplayer gameplay. I'm pretty sure the ToS is just making the disclaimer so you don't hold them responsible if you mess up the game. They can't tell you what you can or cannot do to files on your computer as long as the server-side of the game is not affected.

And they can track to see if you modified the files or not.
Then I respectfully ask them what part of the ToS I violated and what is the reasoning for my ban.
This is assuming they want to go through the effort to track down a guy who may be using a public internet connection just because he modified a file that has no ramifications whatsoever on the actual gameplay going on in the server.
Edit: You realize the image mod will only affect images displayed on YOUR computer screen right? Everyone else would see it normally.
