So me and my brother De-Don were doing some kat hunting. After killing the black kat it dropped a book of dark rituals on his screen, so he ran to pick up the book but disconnected. After several attempts to re-launch Spiral Knights it finally worked and he was back into the game. However for some random reason, when he loaded the game automatically kicked him from the lobby and sent him back to haven.
We do not have a screenshot of this, but I swear the book did drop.
What should we do?

hey its me 1 of your friends what u might need to do is to write a support ticket if they can confirm it dropped then they might give it to him i don't know if this will work or not but its at least worth a try
You can file a support request using the ingame F1 menu.

We can't really help you (unless some rich fellow has a book and doesn't need the crazy cr its worth...). You have to go to support, and to be honest, unless they have some way of confirming that a book did drop and he really didn't get it, he probably wont get one from a Game Master either.
Oh... As I said he didn't have enough time to take a screenshot. Could I and another friend who was present there count as some sort of 'witnesses'?
So those many many hours we spent farming black kats to get a book has gone to waste... :'(
I still hope that a GM would be able to help us somehow... We'll be patient and wait for a reply from a GM.
YOu're [scrap] out of luck son.... My friends have had that happen to them for a variety of things including completing Shadow Lairs. If you file a ticket you'll get a response that says, in a much nicer and passive language, "Sucks to be you. I cant fix it." Its annoying.
So all those hours farming has gone to waste because of a disconnection.
We won't be able to get a shot at obtaining another one until next year...
But still we just want a response from the GM's

Probably because his disconnect made your party restricted. That would explain why it wouldn't let him rejoin.
Sad day for you but especially for your brother.
And... The gm response will be like "dont have a screen... GTFO!"
