From my experience with the Black Kat event I have now concluded that events like these should definitely have a fallback solution to getting rare items, like the book of dark rituals. I mean something like spending tokens to buy the book instead it being purely RNG. I'm not saying that this should be an easy way to get hard items, it should take a considerable amount of hours to get enough tokens to get one; in the spirit of the returning event it would take multiple events to farm this amount of tokens. This being said for all the people who worked super hard and never got their item purely due to luck. People would still be able to find the item with the extremely low drop chance as normal, but this would just be there to insure people who cant find it.
Now for my rant, my Drakon literally grew a beard in the time i spent farming (Went from around 90-96). Around 500 pages and no book, excluding the the kats that didnt drop anything. If i included the amount I farmed from the last time the kats were around I would be over 700 pages easily. So yes, i do feel quite cheated. If the drop percentage is 1%, i should have 2 books already, but RNG is RNG and i understand that. This is why i want this feature implemented.
What do you guys think about this solution? Or do you guys have any other ideas that could help contribute?
Around 500 pages and no book
That does seem pretty bad. Now, I'm not arguing for or against you, but let me ask this question, to help clarify your argument: Should your "buy it instead of relying on luck" idea also apply to rare unique variants?
