I agree. I would prefer to

I agree. I would prefer to buy a CE package and have them come with boxes rather than buy a CE package to spend the CE to get the box. But this does allow f2p players a chance to get a box. And making both these options available seems like it would raise a ruckus. So I dunno. Myabe this is the best way.

Totally agree. There needs to be a 'buy CE/E' promo instead of taking all existing CE/E out of the market for the third time in a row.
It's really messing with the economy..

"Don't make alchemy orbs and remove mist energy, OOO, now my CE is worthless!"

"Don't make us pay CE for boxes, OOO, how will I hoard CE?"

gawd, this forum is like having schizophrenia

na i disagree. this method

na i disagree. this method works well for the economy and gives ce an extra use

ce sinks and crown sinks help ooo control the economy. the less ce the better imo, it means people will spend money.
i'd really like them to make alot of money for the work they put in. adding boxes basically gives players more for their money.

im guessing you're referring to the 'economy' as a perspective for selling/buying items - merchants adapt as usual

Well I'm not for OOO directly controlling the economy.
Don't get me wrong, I love the old format of promos and fully accept it's a game of chance. Or it used to be as these promos eliminate it.
(talking bout wings/tails and this one, the supply depot ones)

Merchants have to adapt as you say.
Just feel like 3 promos back to back is a bit much.
No one's buying anything BUT promo-items atm /:

Yes.

It would be fairer for those that pay real money. Used to be they got CE and a box, now they get E and have to spend it on the box. No fair.

(No, I'm not one of them - I got OCH and Guardian pack through Steam trade/gift - I simply have no money online. Though by now I'm wondering how to change that so I can contribute to the game that has given me >1.5 years of fun playing.)

And in that same sense, I want those that make it possible (the PtP) to get something extra nice for their cash.
A box with something nifty inside seems better to me than getting 2k more crowns per 100E, overall (by overly high prices for Energy[*]). The latter affects the not so rich players, too, as in those that just started.

On a related note, I see all those sales (thank you again, dear gods of SK, btw :) ) as testing how to get dollars in with the new system of no Mist. The folks working so hard to provide this game for us need a reliable way to get food on the table.

(On another note; economy? Pfffft. As I see it, nothing in the game exists to make players rich. Trading is a convenience. Like the difference between a friend and I trading Divine for Shadow Stars, and just selling them on AH to make crowns. Not that making a little cash by selling stuff is wrong, but it's not the point of the game. In my never humble opinion. ;P )

[*] Personally, I don't care. I couldn't be bothered to be bothered anymore by CE price when it hit somewhere between 9k and 10k. I sold it for 7k to then active Guild members. My thanks to a few people who had contributed by buying CE packs and Elevator Pass.)

I'm not looking to get rich and hoard CE.
I just wanna sell the items I have to buy the ones I actually want. :(

But yes; I'm totally with you on that I liked the old systems where people got CE and boxes better.
I also feel like this is OOO testing how to make their game profitable.

oh boy

Silly forumites.

Comparing a CE sink to the opposite of a ce sink and then complaining that they don't do the same thing.
