I have a new player friend who was stuck at Snarbolax stomping him into the ground, on normal, and unable to try it with better gear because, even upgrading a bound 2*, the then still bound 3* can not be worn until a certain rank. Why?
I understand that maybe new players shouldn't buy their way with $->E->Cr->Snarby Coat from AH.
But if someone makes a Wolver Coat, wears it, then someone nice gifts them a Dusker Coat recipe, they happily upgrade the Wolver Coat, they will not be able to wear that shiny new Dusker coat until they're 1 page before 3* HoH. That's just... Sad.
I don't understand why everyone has to go through Missions now, and in such a restrictive way.
Could you please add the old way of getting Tier clearance (the pre-Missions way) parallel to what it is now?
And please, if someone crafts their bound gear to a higher * level, let them be able to use it. They made it, they earned it.
My new player friend eventually caved in and let me come on the Mission. I tried to not stomp everything into the ground - that's no fun for the other player. Even then, after Snarby was disposed of, he said that was a little bit too easy. Wouldn't it have been more fun for him if he'd had a chance to do it all alone with just better gear?
And soon there will be JK. I couldn't beat the blob until I had Skolver coat (and Rock Jelly Helm). How's my new friend to get a fair chance at getting the feeling that he beat him on his own?
He isn't careless, reads wiki, is interested in what the different equipment does for him. He plays in the Arcade.
Along a paralell line, it'd be nice if people could not be invited to Missions they aren't eligible for. A restriction that way round makes a lot of sense to me. The current way does not. (I just don't get it.)
Missions are THE SAME levels you would find in the arcade, only with 1 or 2 NPCs with some dialog.
Not liking it is stupid. Is it so hard to do some predetermined levels once in a while? You use the same weapons, you kill the same monsters.
He could do things alone, on normal without inviting you and that's perfectly doable for a new player. The game isn't hard until you reach T3.
