I know this belongs in technical, where I've already posted it, but I'm hoping it will get some attention here.

There's a number of players who have not been able to log in since the update. Please address this in some way, acknowledge you know it's happening and are working on it...please?

Beryl, I understand your

Beryl, I understand your frustration, but this thread does not belong here.
I saw your thread in Technical Support, but have not replied because I was still trying to puzzle out how to help you.

You should try to do what Dogrock suggested and troubleshoot your internet connection and port setup, but this conversation does not belong in this section of the forum.

I know you really don't want to hear this, but we should wait for Three Rings to respond to your Support Ticket with official information before we really start complaining.

I doubt it's internet

I doubt it's internet connection, or port setup. I, and other users, have been experiencing the same problems since patch. We've posted in tech, and bug (just in case). I attempted to send an e-mail support request but those were down, earlier. I used the online form to send an in-game request for assistance. It's been days now, and no response or acknowledgment that there's even an issue (except confirmation from other players).

Kiiiinda poor customer service. Just sayin'. (and, as a paying player, I consider myself a customer. Debate that if you care to.)

Just be aware that these are

Just be aware that these are darned hard things to look into. In this case the GMs and the few people helping out in the Tech Support are in the same boat, neither can just waltz in with a magic fix based on a sentence or two of information. Most users just post a single error message with no indication of what there unique setup fro the game is. Many times I cannot assume a Windows fix will work because the user in need could be running just about any operating system for this game. Posts that are "incomplete" (for lack of a better word) will most definitely fall to the bottom of the priority list because they are a pain to decipher.

All I've been able to figure out so far is that there was a sudden jump in these problems after the recent release. Some people have reported this occurs only on specific computers meanwhile some with specific accounts. In almost all of the cases I have no idea if the user has even done initial troubleshooting so I must ask the methodical questions so I can slowly move though the potential variables of what's going on.

Even if no solution can be reached and this is a problem with the game then at least the Devs know, they do read the tech support and drop in when they are needed. When sending that Support Mail make sure it is detailed and you have done thorough troubleshooting so that if there is a larger problem it can be elevated to a Dev promptly and they can take a real peak under the hood of what's happening.

I really to read through just about every post in the Tech Forum, but even still I cannot come up with a quick fix for everything. Thankfully there's an assortment of other people poking about in there with their own useful knowledge and experience. I sure don't know everything and we all sleep at some time (usually).

fullscreen

When the patch dropped, I couldn't log in, either. It kept saying "failed to connect to server" or some such. I normally play in non-fullscreen mode, 'cause I like to keep the wiki open in a browser window while I play. Switching to fullscreen let me log in again, and once I was logged in, I could switch back.

Might not help you, but maybe something to try.
