The only question I care about ATM: Is it still possible to play on CE and make more Crowns than you spend?

Before the patch, you were able to join a Jelly run at depth 12, go to 16 or 17 using only ~50 CE and make 8k crowns while effectively spending only 2500 on CE costs. As far as I am aware, this patch completely neutered that method.

All I want to know is if there is any sort of new or alternate strategy that can allow free players to keep doing what they were doing before. I don't care if it's as fancy as the old method; I just want to know if it is still possible to farm for your own playtime while using CE to farm.

Are plain runs from Depth 9 even worth doing any more? Or even T3 from the first T3 level? Can it be done?

I've been pulling profits compared to the cost of energy, yes. Fairly plain T2 running, picking my gates but not much fancy otherwise.

um...this patch hasn't

um...this patch hasn't stopped that. Though the bugginess of the social options has made it harder.

ALSO, the fact a decent portion of active runners have left the game or are on standby is making it way harder to actually join said parties at advantageous stages. Convincing said friends to go solo and accept you also isn't really an option as long as the social option is screwed up.

Couldn't you have someone just sit on 13 and use that as a hub, two runs (20 energy to spare) that's like 15k right there do whatever with the remaining 20 if it's mist than just buy another 100 energy and do the same thing again.

Maybe I'm missing something here though.

Yep. I'm still making profits. Patch or no patch. Depths 13 to JK.
The lag spikes and the kick/solo bug the patch have made do obviously change the amount of profit you make.
But the patch itself argo the bugs and the amount of players who have left does not change the amount of profit you can make.

Yea that's the one thing

Yea that's the one thing that's bugging me is finding people to run with after the patch by that I mean friends and guild mates who are still active, there's always a pub game but I never know what floor I'm entering at and I end up wasting energy which pisses me off to no end considering how precious every bit of energy is.

No one on.....

My friends list is pretty small, a close knit group of people I like to play with. However, I find myself being the only one online in a guild of 63. Coincidence? This is after the update, of course.

@kbe2k11, unless they broke something else with the old one. You cannot rejoin a party if you have descended to another depth.

@LoneKnight, didn't test that and probably won't because of the trouble it'd cause.

Duplicate levels

From what I've heard from guildmates, the duplicate levels, if it's the same level (IE rotation didn't change it, meaning same level is guaranteed for jelly), the enemies will remain dead, so it's not worth doing on purpose
