Is Armor of the Fallen+Vog Cap a good combo? I usually bring Blitz Needle and Divine Avenger with me.

yes, it's fine

Yes, Fallen with Vog Cub is fine. The fiend penalty on Fallen is hindering you against trojans, though.

Sprite Perk (Fiend Damage Bonus) can remove the Penalty + if your sprite is a high enough level it can give you a medium bonus (I think).

A more defensive Set would be Divine Veil + Armor of the Fallen. (No Fiend Penalty, Bit of Normal, bit of Elemental, Shadow Resistance, Mainly Fire resistance, a little bit of Shock resistance). Damage UV'S/ Shock Resistance would also be great.

If you really wanted a mix of

If you really wanted a mix of everything and don't mind using gear without weapon bonus, why not a divine veil and grey feather armour together?

Why would you do that when you could throw it on damage vs Undead? It'd be a lot more useful, really. Trojans are really a minority in FSC. A blitz will easily dispose of them in two charges regardless, unless you're on a high difficulty with many party members, I believe. If I was our beloved ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ and scientist Zeddy, I'd maths it! :D

yes

I'm not saying that you can't overcome the Fallen fiend penalty. I'm just saying that, all else being equal, you'd rather not have it.

Yes, there is a sprite perk of fiend+3, that would bring the Fallen fiend-2 up to a net fiend+1. But that fiend bonus won't benefit you against Vanaduke --- and neither will an undead bonus. I recommend that you just use your handgun+2 perk to increase your damage against all enemies, including Vanaduke, rather than your fiend+3 or undead+3.

You could make skelly or deadshot or shadowsun and use the sprite for fire defense rather than fiend bonus.
Fallen set isn't interesting. ASI is cool but you won't miss a low.

Shadowsun sounds like the best option for vana. Deadshot is good enough to farm the dungeon.

Dread Skelly Set

I suggest full Dread Skelly Set with 2 Soaking Wetstone Pendants.

I use full fallen set for

I use full fallen set for FSC. The fiend damage penalty is really not that bad. You still kill a trojan in two blitz charges in a 4 person party on elite. With no damage penalty, it's two charges anyway, unless you have gun damage increased (maybe?).

Meanwhile, you get normal/shadow defence, fire resistance, and ASI med for all weapon types.

Don't swap out your pet perk for fiend damage to try make up for the penalty. It's not worth it. You'd be better off with MSI, ASI, CTR, damage increase, or healthy boost. Even damage vs undead would be better.

I'm not sure why you wear one piece of vog cub. Is it to protect against the few flamethrower puppies, or vanaduke's attacks?
With shiver and blitz I've found vanaduke to be a complete joke, so I don't bother wearing armor specific for fighting him.

@Superchannel
Why dread skelly? I don't see how skelly would be better than fallen in any way. You'd be sacrificing two trinket slots, potentially 12 health or damage bonus very high, just to make up for the lack of fire resist.
