What does a vial mean to you?

Something that was once a symbol of friendship and camaraderie. I would drop my poison vials before the elevator to the gelatinous monarch so that those more experienced may make use of them.
I would drop my vials along with my vitapod before I left a party via the elevator, a way of saying, "I will no longer be going with you. I hope you can make use of these materials."
I would regularly drop vials I didn't need (such as sleep and freeze) so that another may use it. I most certainly wouldn't, so why deprive someone else of the chance.

Now, it is a burden. It is something which holds no meaning, no purpose, other than to be thrown in anger and fear and haste. Whatever emotion you feel.
It is nothing but a status-imbued pot. A glorified pot that outputs pitiful damage. Just another projectile in our arsenal.
Something which we can no longer offer to friends and allies to help them. If once asks for us to sacrifice a vial so that he can freeze the mobs in the next area, we can only shake our heads and say,"No."
Now we can only take them all and throw them all. Nothing more.

Curse vials are my bros. However all other vials are pretty much chucked to make room for other stuff. I used to keep poison vials too, but now that I have a bro-pet that will poison my enemies, I don't really think about carrying those either.

What do vial mean to me?

If three rings gave us the ability to drop stuff back, i would drop vials for my teammates. I mean I think of vials as a "last resort" type of item. Correct me if i'm wrong but once you pick up a vial does another instance of the vial stay so others could pick it up? Now I just try to avoid picking hp capsules and stuff.

Vials are useless now.

I got a sprite that does status effect: poison. Useful.
I got shield bash that does status effect: stun. Useful.

Why I need vials?

I pick up useless vials and i can drop them for a more useful one. I literally have to waste them.

See? Vials have never had much value. Their value decreased with the entrance of battle sprites. For me, they are used to open blocks (top right of second depth of RJP you can open the blocks prematurely), do ridiculously long-ranged kills for the fun of it, and just toss them around because they feel left out of the game. 95% of the time though, they are tossed aside for remedies and health pills.

Vials...

I still use them in a useful way.
Poison vials. I am a horrible shot with my sprite, so I usually keep one or two on hand.
Stun vials. I find myself using my shield more for saving my life than to bash in a monster's head (translation: I suck at dodging, so shield bashing isn't worth doing.)
Any other vial, I keep if no one else in my party has the weapon that does the vial's job.

Can someone clarify, a bit confused.

Do all vials and pickups stay for everyone in the party or do you have to avoid picking them up so that another person who wants it can have it?

Everyone gets their own randomized loot.
You may see a single freeze vial after breaking a box while your friend gets a pill from the same box instead.

Those things have more range than any other projectile
AND is capable of dealing the most "OP" status ever: Sleep
Also minis are immune to shield bash so that's where Stun Vials come in to keep the hordes away (dat knockback)
Nothing like guaranteed curse to kill silkwings
Poison has its use when people stop using OP maskeraiths and get an OP shield from Seraphynx
Remember the old days without Dash when you used shock vials to shock zomgs in the rocket puppy room on D25 FSC so the spasms let you do it reverse

Fire, Freeze are the most useless though, imo.

The two vials I've always

The two vials I've always carried with me still retain their original value to me. Now, what are those vials, you may ask? Why, the Stun and Freeze vials.

These vials retain their value for the following reasons:
The stun vial has an amazing knockback effect, unique to this vial, which knocks all surrounding enemies away from me in a time of need. Be it that I'm on my last stand, or about to take a serious beating from an inescapable position, I whip out this vial and am free to move once more. This is, by far, the most valuable asset in my adventures as it affects all enemies, with slimes being resistant to its stun effect, only. Shield bash, as amazing as it is, couldn't ever replace the stun vial because it can only be used when the shield has full health and still leaves you vulnerable to attacks during its execution, whereas the stun vial takes immediate effect once it crashes into the enemy.

The freeze vial still remains a valuable tool as it allows me to stall the enemy if I'm weak and backed into a corner and the enemy has yet to catch up with me. It has a disadvantage in that it is useless in freeze-themed levels, but that only serves to make the stun vial even more indispensible.

Question about the vial range?

How long is the range? I don't think it'll go on forever cuz from what I tested it breaks after a certain.

Freeze vials let me stop priority targets so I can set them up for ideal shardbombing. It's a necessity against mortafires and the like.
