To keep the Item Tweaks thread from derailing too much, a separate one for this topic.

How is everybody experiencing the new pay-out balancing? I have not yet ventured between Haven and Emberlight, so I can't give an opinion about that section just yet. I did however see what the rumours were about concerning pay below Emberlight. Mine was as follows for the Iron Serpent gate:

----

Depth 19: Haunted Passage: 144 Crowns

Depth 20: Graveyard: 626 Crowns

Depth 21: Starlight Cradle: 469 Crowns

Depth 22: Starlight Cradle: 698 Crowns

Heat earnings so far: Wyvern Scale Shield from lvl 4.5 to 5; Shadow Driver from lvl 5 to 5.3

Depth 24: Graveyard: 1248 Crowns

Depth 25: Firestorm Citadel: 1173 Crowns

Heat earnings here: Wyvern Scale Shield from lvl 5 - 5.5; Shadow Driver from lvl 5.3 to 5.75

----

My opinion: The first half of below-Emberlight depths has a very low pay. Especially if you look how everything doubles up below the halfway-terminal. Pay below the terminal seems where it should be to me. 1k - 1.5k per level is a decent amount in my opinion, considering pricing of items related to that tier.

Any other thoughts? Or data of earnings above Emberlight?

Okay have done a Haven to

Okay have done a Haven to Moorcroft run now in the Amber Falcon gate. Here's what I got for pay:

----

Depth 1: Arena: 367 Crowns

Depth 2: Aurora Isles: 749 Crowns

Depth 3: Arena: 1128 Crowns

Heat earnings so far: Wyvern Scale Shield from lvl 5.5 to 5.95; Shadow Driver from lvl 5.75 to 6.1

Depth 5: Arena: 1614 Crowns

Depth 6: Arena: 1933 Crowns

Depth 7: Wolver's Den: 463 Crowns

Heat earnings here: Wyvern Scale Shield from lvl 5.95 to 6.6; Shadow Driver from lvl 6.1 to 6.5

Note: I completed all 3 stages in every Arena.

----

I haven't done arena's below Emberlight so far, but at rather normal levels the pay seems similar or even higher compared to below Emberlight? The arena pay here seems to be within range of what the arena pay used to be below Emberlight though. So that's definitely a good thing.

----

A few things that popped into my mind. Heat and Crowns pay seem to have been dragged up to the same level as Emberlight and deeper. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't mineral size spawn affected by depth aswell? Another issue linked to depth, material spawn is completely worthless this close to Haven if you're saving up for higher-end recipes. A fix for these 2 would definitely be needed in my opinion if you want to truly attract high-end players to the more shallow levels.

Indeed soloing. That doesn't

Indeed soloing. That doesn't affect pay-out though?

Yup it does, the more

Yup it does, the more players, the more money. But when I do a run in haven, from Haven to moorcroft WITH THE ARENA and 3 other players... I only gain a little bit over 1000 in total

Erm are you sure about that?

Erm are you sure about that? As far as I know, solo and party pay is perfectly the same. If you're in a party, every picked up crown goes to every player. It's not divided in any way. If I pick 1 Crown up, every player gets 1 crown.

Hmm I went through depth 20

Hmm I went through depth 20 solo and made maybe 400 crowns, I wasn't paying much attention to heat but I killed a gray wolver boss and got two of the smallest heat items, I killed a few other normal gray wolvers and got little heat as well. Did Wolvers Den on depth 21 and made 300 crowns and my level 4 gear went up a couple of pixels worth of heat. I'll see if I can find some time for group runs of those levels and see if there is a difference.

Wolver levels are incredibly

Wolver levels are incredibly badly balanced considering pay-out though. They're one of the worst-paying, throughout every depth. Also, you can't quite compare the drop of a single enemy, there's some random involved in there. I've had monsters giving me nothing but 1 bulb of heat, and others giving me tons, all on the same depth.
