Ok, not sure if I'm having problems or maybe just not understanding how this command works so I thought I'd start off by putting this in topic in here. What I thought of when I heard this control option was something like, when in battle you are able to switch between different spirits (I have two atm) as you fight so you can kick those monsters butts. Sadly I'm not finding that it works in clockworks or missions. I'm also not seeing there's a way to equip both my spirits at ounce so maybe I'm missing that? Then I thought, well it'd kinda suck but maybe it's just for haven or something, and I try it there and again nothing happens. So I'm not sure if there is something wrong with it's control option or I'm not doing something right? or maybe skipping a step to make it work?

Thanks for the time and help,

Jwake

It doesn't suck. It'd be frigging stupid and overpowerd to cycle thru multiple sprites with different abilities at any time. (and unfair considering they cost more than a weapon slot)

Having more than 1 sprite should be for collectors or for those that prefer something different for specific missions.
Dunno where you got the idea of dual wielding sprites (lol)

I notice how you didn't even address that actual question.... what's the command do? and how do I use it?

He's saying that you CAN'T

He's saying that you CAN'T switch sprites during a level, just like you can't switch armor or weapons. You have to be at an arsenal station to switch. Just open your arsenal and sprites should be at the very top, if you have already opened a second sprite you just have to select it and select "equip" the same as for weapons.

Ok. One answered question then...

Does anyone know what the command actually does then? It can't just do nothing, can it?

I'd have to look in-game to

I'd have to look in-game to see what this is, I assume it's in the list of commands that you can set? It might just be allowing use of a sprite or not, you can have no sprite equipped.

@halandin

wait... so you were trying to answer my question without knowing what I was talking about? .....

My thinking was if it was just a haven command like the other "toggle" controls (for pop up windows) then when you have the window open for 1 spirit you just click and it switches to your next spirit. But I'm not looking to have a debate over what it does, I was asking for help from someone who knew what it actually was supposed to do and how to use it. I thank you for you trying to help but I'd like someone who can just clarify it's use. Whether it be a gm or a player that's has/can use it.

don't know

I understand your question. I have tried using this command. I can't detect what it does, either. By the way, I have only one sprite. But the placement of the option within the Controls interface suggests to me that it doesn't toggle (A) whether you have a sprite equipped, or (B) which of your sprites is equipped (which wouldn't be a "toggle" anyway), but rather (C) whether your sprite is displayed. Displayed where? I don't know. I can't get this command to have any effect.

Never thought about it like that, that could be it as well. Was never really defending what I thought the command was for but just so people understood what I tried already and what didn't work and someone who knew what it was for could rule stuff out stuff in case I was having a bug/problem. I contacted support since I can't even seem to find out if this is a bug or not, might just be easier to ask the people that put it in. I'll quote their replay here when I get one. Hopefully it's a simple fix whether it be a bug or just or a lost step in use.

It's supposed to open the battle sprite menu, but it's not doing it for some reason. Note how it's buried amongst all the other menu buttons.

Thanks for the info Zeddy.

Yeah the gm replying confirmed that....

"That key is to bring up a screen which lets you quickly swap your sprite for a
different sprite in areas where you can swap your equipment (like Haven, or a
Guild Hall). I just tested and it works for me"

The rest said was just asking about if it works for me after restarting the game. Since it doesn't, gonna keep talking with him to see if we can get it to work for me.

Thanks all for your time and replies.

Oh I got a reply from them a few days ago on Tuesday of this week, (internet was down most of the week otherwise would have posted this then) after going back and forth a few times for them asking me to try stuff and me replying whether it worked or not, I got this...

"Sorry about the confusion. The "Toggle Battle Sprite" command doesn't have a
function in game. It's a leftover that somehow made it into the key mapping
list. I've forwarded this information to the Developers so they can remove the
extra command in a later update."

Just so people aren't expecting it to suddenly work for them on day. I guess I'm a little disappointed in both that this is actually not a command and that there was quite a bit of lack of communication between the gm's on this since it took them over 2 weeks to figure out that they are the ones who removed it.
