That does sound like a pretty perfect guild, but is it actually a possible guild? Let's examine those ideas, and I'll talk a bit about how our guild (Lionheart) follows them.

"That perfect guild would be one who follows it's own rules and policies regarding promotions, spending of guild crns, hall/guild updates etc."

"One that is helpful towards new guild members and those new to the game but doesn't try to play their game for them."

Yes, we are guild full of seasoned players who enjoy mentoring, helping out, and sharing in the joy of achievement with newer players.

"Preferably one that has one gm or at least gm's who get along and work well together and who don't use those in the guild as cash cows for "their guild" which is meant to advance themselves socially in game."

I was the sole Guild Master for about the first six months, but now there are three of us. Of course, we get along super. The recent reduction in guild hall upkeep has left us with millions in the treasury that we use in cooperation and consultation with one another.

"I want to be part of a guild that works together as a guild and not just be an owned number for someone to say I have "X" amount in MY guild. I want to be part of an OUR guild."

The last sentence in our Wiki pages says, "A pledge from us to you ~ We understand that the longer you are in a guild, the more emotionally invested you become in it. Please try to keep a proper perspective on the game as opposed to real life. This guild is but a small part of a "game" we all play and should never be taken too seriously. As much as possible, we will strive to make this not just "our" guild but also "your" guild as well.

"Our guild would be one that is active, friendly and very much into role playing. It would be a social thing rather than endless grinding of FSC and all ld all the time.

I personally almost never play LD and avoid FSC runs almost entirely as well. We have fun in chat when we are not playing in the Clockworks.

One of the reasons I took on the Dragon Princess nickname and identity was to add a role-playing dimension to the game, and I appreciate it when others do as well.

"Games, guild events and happenings would be a regular occurrence."

This one is a challenge. I have impromptu trivia of SK quiz challenges where I give away a few thousand crowns. We have also had monthly lottery drawings on the website, and the occasional random contest, but getting participation can be a challenge in itself.

"It would be a safe place."

I strive for a guild environment that 13 year old girls would feel comfortable in and that their parents would not mind.

"One you wouldn't get kicked from or demoted in just because you got pissed off at OOO for an update and didn't sign in for awhile post update."

An active guild requires cleaning out inactives. Our policy is one week vacation per rank level.

"Does your guild take playing on sk to another level? Is your guild a game within a game? Is it a place where fantasy and imaginations can grow? Please tell me if so."
