Hello Everyone, welcome to the equipment guide for new through expert players, written by yours truly, Lord-Patches. This guide will explain exactly what items that you should build to become the most powerful knight possible, and best of all, not break your budget! Below I will explain how bonus stats work, what types of weapons there are, as well as what different damage types do.

Please post what you thought of the guide below in this forum. I am always looking to get your ideas and the bumps will help this post stay on the first page. Thanks!

Pretend I wrote something clever here

While your suggested sets are certainly powerful, they also seem to be over-reliant on chaos, and there are more economical ways of getting strong sets. For example, using wolver armor and trinkets, you can get all your stats to VH, without having to buy UV tickets (vog cub, BTS, ctr trinket, damage trinket) and you can bump one of them up to max with perks. Your guide comes across as "how to use chaos" rather then your intended goal of "how to get the strongest set for the least amount of money".

@Battlegrinder: While there

@Battlegrinder: While there are other gear choices, and I explain that in my guide, If you are looking to MAX all stats without spending boatloads of money on UVs then chaos set is the best. With you above set (vog cub, BTS, ctr trinket, damage trinket) you will never hit maximum in ctr+asi+damage unless you have VH UV on your weapon (or multiple Mediums on same weapon) which is wayyyyy more expensive

Moving and copying+pasting your thread into a new subforum is not the same thing btw...

True. However, I was aiming to create the cheapest, strongest set that doesn't require UVs, not the strongest set possible irrespective of cost (and given the cost and odds of getting the UVs you suggest, I don't think you set is as cheap as you think). Again, you guide is still good, but it is a little tricky to figure out what it's intended purpose is (max power vs cheapest possible).

Also, is there any reason you didn't factor sprite perks into your guide?

pretty nice

It's a pretty nice guide. It's well-written and concise. By the way, I'm the author of a quasi-prominent guide, and I have seen a lot of players start their own guides, seek feedback, and give up. You're doing much better than most. Now for some more critical comments, which I hope you will find constructive.

A. You're trying to cover a huge amount of material in a short time. Hence you go into very little detail, and you basically prescribe a single "correct answer" for each situation, without helping the reader understand his options. For example, in the sword section you recommend only brandishes (and piercing swords), not even including Voltedge. Maybe you should keep this guide specifically about maxing out abilities, and leave the particular choices of elemental sword, shadow gun, etc. out of it.

B. In your explanation of abilities, you leave out movement speed increase, and your six-point scale applies only to weapons, not armor. Here, a lack of detail can cause novice readers to leave with misinformation. Avoiding misinformation should be your top priority. But it's hard to get the details right, when you're covering so many topics at once.

C. Most novice players (and maybe even most experienced players) want to play as hybrids. Your Chaos-focused approach would certainly work for hybrids, but you actually advise the reader not to be hybrid.

D. You should certainly link to the Swordmaster, Gunslinger, and Bombing Guide. And, although I feel dirty for saying it, you should certainly link to my sword guide. You might also link to Fehzor's big equipment guide on the forums, etc.

E. As noted above, you left out sprite perks.
