after this years i still get confused some times with the current layout... it's a bit confusing having sometimes 3x the same item...

I agree. As Hexzyle said, please move this thread to the Wiki Editors forum (by editing the thread and choosing that forum from the drop-down menu).
I didn't know there was a wiki editor category, sorry about that
Thanks for moving. Anyway, it's a good idea. Here is the relevant page from the MediaWiki help pages:
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Tables#HTML_colspan_and_rowspan
I'm not sure whether the SK wiki is using exactly the right software and version. It's worth a shot.
sorry, but i don't know anything about making webpages, just messed on photoshop in about 30 minutes to do that example picture xD
but there will be a problem for the recipes with 3 crafting trees, there should be an arrow in the middle of the rows, because if you got 3 recipe lines, and put it in the middle maybe some people will get confused and thing the tree is only for the middle recipe
Maybe I misunderstand you, but I don't foresee any visual problem with three branches on a crafting tree. The table cell, that you've made double-tall, just needs to be made triple-tall. For example, Ash Tail Coat would have triple-tall entries at 2-, 3-, and 4-star, and then single-tall entries at 5-star.
Of course, implementing this in the wiki code is another matter. I still haven't tried to make it work.
Edit: Now I see your worry. In the Ash Tail Coat example, readers might think that the top and bottom 5-star branches have no predecessor? Maybe, but we should still test out this idea. I think that it is preferable to the current situation. And I don't know how we'd do the arrows, short of just making graphics, which would then mess up editing, linking, etc.
If you're worried about wolver cotas, take a look at blast bombs
EDIT: Ignore this post, tried it in HTML instead of MediaWiki.
You're using HTML, not MediaWiki markup. The question is not whether an HTML page (web page) can display complicated tables. The question is whether the Spiral Knights wiki software will let you make complicated tables. If the SK wiki is running on a recent version of MediaWiki (presumably like Wikipedia), then the answer will be "yes". But if the SK wiki is really outdated software, then it might not work.
Then I'm sorry, I can't help you with that :S
Tis probably a better idea. But this thread should go in the wiki editors subforum.
