Make UI themes which may be obtained through various means. When using, they change the graphics style of the UI. They DO NOT reposition HUD elements. Hopefully they wouldn't obscure the view. They are bound upon use, if not already bound. Once used, players may switch freely between what they have. They are in the Usable tab. In case a player gets multiple copies, they can be sold for 1 crown to vendors. The background would change when the player in inspected depending on his/her theme.
The themes would be:
- Spiral Blue
Given to player when starting. (Doesn't show in the Usable tab until the player owns another theme.)
- Same as what is currently in the game. - Nostalgic Flat
For about a week after its release, it would be available on the Supply Debt. for 500 CE as a sale. BOUND?
Bought for 50k crowns from Vatel. UNBOUND
- Changes windows, menus, and icons so that they look like how they did before UI 2.0. This would be the only icon changing theme. - Gremlin Red
For about a week after its release, it would be available on the Supply Debt. for 500 CE as a sale. BOUND?
Bought for 50k crowns from Vatel. UNBOUND
- Very similar to Spiral Blue, but with a reds, tans, and grays. - Seerus Style
Given to owners of Operation: Crimson Hammer. BOUND
- Would use the colors crimson, black, and white. Various Seerus insignias would be present. - Wildwoods Overgrowth
Bought from Brinks for 60 Frumious Fangs. BOUND
Found in Iron/Mirrored Lockboxes. UNBOUND
- Would add various overgrowth effects to the HUD. When the player's health is low, the plants begin to wither. When the player is dead, the plants also die. - Royal Jelly
Bought from Brinks for 75 Jelly Gems. BOUND
Found in Iron/Mirrored Lockboxes. UNBOUND
- Akin to Royal Blue, but with shades of mostly purple and some pink. The HP bars look like blocks of jelly (red), royal jelly (silver), and rock jelly (gold). - Ironclaw Steel
Bought from Brinks for 75 Bark Modules. BOUND
Found in Iron/Mirrored Lockboxes. UNBOUND
- Like Gremlin Red, but much, much more gray. Hints of red are seen here and there. Animating gears are in places where they won't be intrusive. Gears and nuts are in various spots, like the quickbar at the bottom of the HUD. (Instead of squares/circles.) - Ancient Almirian
Bought from Brinks for 90 Almirian Seals. BOUND
Found in Iron/Mirrored Lockboxes. UNBOUND
- Wood be wood in texture, and charred black in a few places. Skulls and crowns, though faded, can be seen in various spots. - Black Swarm
Crafted using 2 of each Shadow Lair material at the Darkfire Vanaduke Sanctuary Alchemy Machine. BOUND
Found in Mirrored Lockboxes. (And rarely in Iron?) UNBOUND
- A rippling, dark theme. Swarm pixels (the black squares) show up in the personal window, as well as in the windows and sidebars. (I.e. Progress window, Arsenal and Social sidebars.) Rumor has it that this theme actually has an effect on the user...
Meh, what do you think? I'm curious to know if this would be possible or maybe too taxing on the SK dev team. I wanted to come up with more dynamic UIs for the other boss themes, but I ran out of ideas...I also suggest themes that would be available for various events, like the Halloween and Anniversary events.
Also, if (and that's a big if) this were to be considered, I suggest that more levels and monsters come before this idea. However, it would be something the player base would love to see, if I am correct. (Talking about the Retro theme.)
The goal behind both tokens and Lockboxes is to allow either grind or trade with other players. (Trading probably involving buying with real money, but idk.)
+1
I'm a fan of that steampunk-esque style.
