I am just curious
The Cautery sword has damage bonus against slime of high which is better than nightblade which doesn't have it, still not sure though.

you are better off with an the archeron for fighting jellies, also elemental it depends what you like i have voltedge and glacius work great for vana runs, roam twins (really good on red roam with glacius stops oilers and quicksilvers), really depends on what you want, some people make combuster first or glacuis. if you are looking for a normal sword i go leviathan.
