I know this game resembles some of Legend of Zelda titles gameplay wise, but either I am crazy or OOO is a heavy fan of the line.
Swarm = Twilight
Eye on 4* Sealed Swords and Sealed charge (No other eyes in the game) = Sheikah symbol
Pill animation = You-Got-An-Item animation

Accident? I think not...
Now let's just do a costume of Link's tunic and a Navi battle Sprite that kills everything with her "HEY!" and "LISTEN!".
...

I'm sorry but...

I'm sorry but Spiral Knights is published by Sega not Nintendo so adding Link's tunic and a Navi battle sprite would get OOO sued for Copy-right-in-fridge-mint ("copyright infringement" ryan higa reference for those serious people out there)

Searched images on the sheikah symbol and compared it to the sealedsword eye design : they're kinda different.

About the pill animation:
It's a common action in using a consumable item for games, its for that the player can see what item they are using.

Plus , haven't you notice the pots in the game? maybe, you know, it may resemble the "link's awakening" pot mechanics?

Let's just say that some Legend of Zelda's gameplay have been used as an inspiration for some RPG game devs.

One of SK's advertisement images is "It's dangerous to go alone. Take these. And these too."

Any 'evil' or 'magic' eye like symbol on movies and videogames is most likely based on the Eye of Horus from egyptian hieroglyphs.

I prefer the Ys series myself. Incidentally, I thought that Ys Seven felt more like SK than Zelda, unlike earlier games in the series.

Edited for clarity, I was commenting on Ys, not SK

I've been told that I was playing Legend of Zelda multiplayer online game when someone watched me playing. It's because of the Calibur sword.

Yay for Ys~~~

Honestly, the game was clearly inspired by Zelda in a few aspects of the game a lot more than Ys Seven.

*Bushes, although in a few games were clearly inspired by Zelda.
*What Whimsicality said, "It's dangerous to go alone. Take this." was originally a reference to the Old-Man in the original Legend of Zelda and became a popular Meme used throughout gaming.
*Statues and Switches, although not only used by the Legend of Zelda, it was inspired by a lot of other games, however, the Statues highly reflect those seen in The Legend of Zelda.
*The Birds-Eye view was originally used in the first Legend of Zelda and became a semi-popular way of various other games to follow.
*Pots. Need I say more?

I know there's a few more references but those are the only ones that I can think off the top of my head.

In the 2+ years that this

In the 2+ years that this game has been in existance, NO ONE has EVER noticed similarities to Zelda!

I congradulate you sir, for pointing out the obvious. How else would we have known?

Juances, I don't see much resemblance in between Eye of Horus and the Sheikah/Sealed Sword eye, but that might just be me.

Thanks for mentioning some things I forgot, everyone. I guess.

I feel like now all I need is a word from the devs for the heck of it.

You forgot the bushes!

First day i played this game like 2 years ago the first thing that struck me was the bushes. Not the puffy round ones but the little mutli leafed "plants" all over the place. Reminds me heavely of "zelda a link to the past" for the snes. Love it.

This game is mostly inspired

This game is mostly inspired from Zelda Four Swords GBA (Anniversary Edition also.)

4 player co-op.
Random dungeons.
Puzzles.
Epic and interesting boss fights.
Use currency to revive yourself.
Get the best weapon.
Great replay value.

Spiral Knights is still a great game and is pretty original still as a overall game. =)

Just because zelda POPULARIZED/INSPIRED these features doesn't mean they INVENTED them or EXCLUSIVIZED them.

@Tweeter: No, you are the one

@Tweeter: No, you are the one that is wrong because I was being utterly sarcastic. First thing this game me think was Zelda as well.
