Hello. I was wondering how you get your 3 star gear to 4 star because it requires level 5. I have a 3 star sword over level 5 but it is bound so i can't use that. Then i created another 3 star sword that is not bound but how do i level it up?

Make sure that the item you're upgrading is unequipped. If you still can't upgrade it, then make sure you have all of the materials, orbs, etc. If you still can't upgrade it, then report back here.

Wrong. It's bound, but it works. And as you noticed, it NEEDS to be bound to level it.
The recipe must not be working because you have it equipped. You can't upgrade it while it's in your current loadout.
