you need items?
That's a mission where you need certain items equipped, right? Are they 2-star or 3-star items?
Increasing the star-level of your items in this game takes some time. You might be stuck on this mission for a while. Go into the Arcade, and do some Clockworks levels through there. Or go back and repeat earlier missions. You need to save up some money, so that you can buy this equipment or the orbs and recipes needed to make it.
That sounds a bit... uncomfortable...
