time

You're going to have trouble getting people to agree on a time. It might help if you asked people to discuss time using official game time:

okay!

I can agree there Bopp, time is always a Issue I was considering making a few meetings for each area, and then having that info being said to the others if it mattered...

Questions.

Are your alts going to show up as well, and do you know that most reputable guilds have at least one of your accounts on their blacklist?

I somehow doubt that.

People like you that have a fetish for leadership and authority tend to lie about such things.

Alright. Sounds like a plan. I don't GM a guild, but I used to, I'll send my alt who is actually the GM of my guild.

And, LJ: Unity is still very much around. :3

No, I'm not. :3

I used to GM the guild Advent Children, which actually had a nice outcome, due to my computer having a nervous break down... I kind of left for a year, leading to the in-activeness of the guild. Now 6 members reside in AC. 1 if not 2 log on at all. :3

I've always wanted to get it back up some day.
Davan, am I allowed to bring my main? Or do I have to rep my guild with my alt? :3

EDIT: Are you stalking this thread? :3

I"m just going to go ahead

and say no to this. Davan, I know what you and your alts have done to several guilds. I can assure you, any guild that I am friendly with will not be attending, nor will you get unity from us.

Good day, sir.

I dont get it...

Why would we need to do this? What possible benefits would come from this? Why would people want to participate?

And if you respond with vague abstractions like "To promote unity", I'm going to walk over to the garrison and puke my guts out in front of every single guildhall.

Honestly, the last thing guilds need is animosity from their members by having a meeting of the SK Illuminati.

Skye, what do you mean I rarely post in other subforums? I do spend most of my time in the TV, but I stalk others because the TV isn't very active. :3
Suggestions, General Discussion, and Gremlin Chatter I stalk. Not necessarily post in them. :3

And to everybody else... is there something I'm missing, with this Davan guy?

Yes, you are missing something.

He is the lord of alts. He is the proud and shameless owner of over 30 alts, a lot of which he likes to use to infiltrate guilds and become their leaders by deceit. In the past, he has been the leader of three (or more) guilds at once, realized he couldn't handle it, and left them out to dry.

how does that happen?

I've never encountered this behavior (that I know of). So how does it happen? How does a newcomer take over a guild? Don't the founders keep at least token control? Are these no-name, worthless guilds, or are they prosperous and well-known?

It happens like this.

He finds dying or starting guilds, acts the nice guy, and becomes the GM through what I imagine to be lots of up-sucking, then moves on to a different guild, leaving the ones he's in charge of swinging in the breeze. He's done it with Schizophrenia, Party Guild, Shadow Lair Knights, and probably more.

Stop, please. Let's stay on topic.

Whether one agrees or not, I think this is getting WAY out of hand.
If you have a problem with Davan, Dimentia, I say you take it somewhere private, as this has little to do with Davan's suggestion.
I can see where you're going with this Davan, sort of, but I just can't see it happening. There's bad blood between some guilds, and with so many people and guilds, everyone's on different time zones.

But seerusly, I just think GM meetings will make guildies of said guilds feel excluded. If you're going to make GMs meet, make the whole guilds meet as well.

Dont make entire guilds meet...

It's hard enough coordinating 10 or so people that you know, let alone several hundred people that you dont.

That catch

And there's the catch. People will feel excluded if only the GMs go, and getting a whole guild to will be hard.

Just make it so that the guildmasters organise to meet, and the guildmembers themselves can tag along if they're online at the time and as long as they behave themselves.

my 2 cents

1. What about foreign people that actually... doesn't speak english? You left them out?

2. Why would my french GM who doesn't speak english at all meet with you? To discuss what? The game? Would you mind discussing about it in french?

3. Friendly guild already have (well... we have) get well with others and often talk to each others to get to know what happened in the others guilds. (believe or not, I have 2 people who left our guild to join another and we keep in touch, no hate, no shame ^ ^)

4. What about those EU players? 6 hours in front of me (Eastern time)?

No... bad idea... and I smell something fishy
