Here is the revised version with dithering.
Here is another...okay can you just scroll down? xD

Pretty good.
But I can see some basic problems with your sprite.
~~~
First off, I'd like to comment on the brown glove. Try and put creases there; add shading as well to make it look more realistic. Remember that there are shadows between fingers; use that in your sprites.
Secondly, the handle for your Vile Striker is disproportionate. From my view, it looks as if it is turned towards me, but the blade does not follow the same view. It makes it look 4 dimensional, which is weird. So try and sprite the weapons so that it is in the same view.
Furthermore, the head seems to be completely 2-dimensional. That's quite weird, considering the fact that most of your sprite is seemingly 3D. Perhaps you could tilt the head slightly to the left so that his head doesn't look flat.
Also, to make your shading less.... 'cell' like, try dithering. It can make a few colors seem as if they blend together, so utilizing dithering in your spriting endeavors will help you a lot.
Try and make your outline relate to where the light is coming from. It's not just the contents of the sprite that are everything, you know! :P So if the light source is close to the left, make the outline on the left brighter than that on the right. Simple, right?
~~~
Other than that, this is a great job for a beginner spriter. I wish I could sprite as well as this when I was a beginner. :3
Perfect, looks like it came straight out of a 16 bit game or w/e, :D
Thanks for the approval, guys!
Note that I'm still grateful for Ulti's response. I'll respond as soon as I can figure out why my computer is buzzing.
@Zeddy
Maybe I should make a Battle Sprite next...
@Ultimaknightz
I still haven't figured out why my laptop buzzes. (Probably dusty fan.) I can answer you now, though.
First off, I'd like to comment on the brown glove...
Now that I think about it, I don't think I even messed with the glove much...I'll have to go and fix that.
The blade...I'm not quite sure what you mean...is this with the handle and the sword? The problem I ran up against is that knights in the game don't have a whole lot of even shading, (shading is done in the textures) so I had to improvise. Unfortunately I couldn't do all the shadows in one go, so that's probably what happened with the handle.
Unfortunately, the head will be hard to fix. It will be hard to find the same angle in Spiral Spy again...
Dithering wasn't one of the techniques I used...I was following exclusively that guide and it only mentioned dithering in the fur and scale sections. I will do some reading, though. (And I think I know what you mean, anyway, but to be sure...)
I have used multiple outline shades, but mostly on the legs. I'll try to do the rest. I wasn't sure if I should go back and tweak the outlines because I didn't want to second guess myself...which has led to bad results in a few cases before.
Actually, this is my first sprite which isn't an edit and I've used a whole lot of techniques on. You could call this my first try, though that was with a very limited 8 color pallet and odd image size, and without using any techniques. But I forgot about it when I made this, so yeah...
I also have a few edited sprites of this guy and they're probably still on this computer somewhere, but that was aaages ago.
So, I've been into the pixel art for a while, but I've never taken it up that seerusly.
TL;DR: I can fix the glove, add dithering, fix the outlines, and fix the sword so it doesn't look funny, but I can't fix the head. I'll spend a bit more time on this picture.
Now, how's this one? Better? Worse?
I actually like the cel-shaded one a bit better than the dithered version; the small scale makes it look a bit muddy. The sword and the outline on the new one looks nice, though.
Were you only wanting feedback here on the forum? You asked for opinions in the DA description but disabled comments there.

Hmm...ok I think I'll have to play around with it some, switching between cell-shaded and dithering. I could also use different techniques for various things and sizes.

My bad. Fixed.
To be honest, I kind of like it a bit more without dithering. It looks more smooth that way, but dithering does make it look realistic :P
It looks great. Although I know nothing about art... How can I make pixel drawings? How much time does it take to make one? -_- I've seen many non-pixel drawings. How do people draw them? What program or whatever it is is needed? Sorry about off-topic.
I want to talk with you in-game about something...this is rather impressive.
@Hexlash
Now that I think about it, it sorta comes down to the same choice you see in Zelda: Will it look realistic? (As in Twilight Princess) Or stylized? (As in Wind Waker) I may use minimal dithering here and there, but I think I'd prefer to have it stylized. It's also easier to do it without dithering, and I want to streamline my process.
@Kamishinlnoyari
This was what mainly helped. This also helped with the dithering, even if I didn't dither to the full extent. As for the editor, I used GIMP.
@Dreathuxy
Thanks! And...what?
/e is curious.
Did I get the feathered feel right? My technique probably isn't perfect yet...I think I got the shadow a little too low...
The outline of the Snipe is too..... rigid. It needs to be curved, because Snipes are not blocks. Make it curvier.
I also noticed that there was little to no shading on the beak. Try and add shading onto it so that it doesn't look like a 2d pokeball.
The wings on the Snipe. Where are they? Try looking for tutorials on the web for how to sprite feathers. Plus, the shading on the 'feathers' are really weird. So when you sprite the feathers, make sure you put certain shades on each individual feather.
If you make these edits, it'll be awesome. Trust me on this. :P
Sorry! I've had a very busy week! (Starting on Oct26)
I'll hop back to work soon! Thanks for the advice!
I made the snipes a little while ago. It's somewhat difficult to alter one of these after you make them. (When they're big, anyway!)
By the way, I couldn't find any feathering guides. Could you give me a link? I'll remember not to make things look mechanical when it shouldn't be! (I.e. wolvers.)
Haha! \(סּںסּَ` )/~c[_]
Kudos to the one who can figure this out first.
The emoticon is of a particularly exuberant young fellow who is throwing his cup into the air like he doesn't care. Whilst the link goes to an image of a blinking Gun Puppy. My face has the general shape of a face. And I cannot remember for the sanity of me what Cthulhu looks like. I may be Jesus.
That's some rad poetry, dude.
Enter: Pivot!
Interesting note: I was going to use the basic 3* Cobalt gear for him, but due to the low res, I cut out the bags of the cobalt. It was also going to be difficult to tell the cuffs of the gloves apart from the gloves, so I decided to make those prismatic.
This feels lacking in activity, even if it is awesome. We need more people to support and help you on the way. . .
@Liminori
Wow, thanks! Even though you're right about the inactivity, I don't care...for now. Aside from lack of feedback (okay, that IS a bad thing), I feel that I can keep on going for a while.
Looking good! You seem to have a good grasp of shading with few colors, and the shapes are spot on.
