How to succeed, what to expect, etc.
Thought this would be interesting to get a community opinion on.

The game is won by walking towards the player called 'Feyi' and letting him hit you. Multiple times.
The more times you do this, the higher your score will be.
I'm not good at PvP, but I can give you an advice about pets. Don't choose seraphynx, drakon or the little fat ghost... Get a pony like me.
Try to charge your weopon in front of Ezho asi VH DVS and look what gonna happen!
Sometimes you need to just play for fun and not expect to win every game.
Especially if you have a mediocre internet connection.
And if you complain too much about either:
you quickly find yourself on people's kill lists. They will go out of their way to kill you and make your LD experience not so fun. Just shut up and play.
There will always be people who have better or worse gear than you--what are you going to do, force them to equip something weaker for you? Then what are they going to do with their better gear, not use it at all? Or wait until you log off? When did you become so special?
Other than that, if you don't have high ASI weapons or HP trinkets, you might want to stick to Guardian than Striker. Striker is all about action, but if you jet out of base just to die then you might wonder what you're really contributing to the team. Of course if you're having fun, by all means do it.
And don't forget to capture points.
"Hey, there's this pvp mini-game called Lockdown that keeps all the end-game players addicted to this game. You'll know what I'm talking about when you get to that point. Trust me, you don't want to speed through the missions. Once you've done them all, you'll end up playing Lockdown and finding yourself getting frustrated at people on the internet who probably has less of a real life than you do. If you really want to know what Lockdown's about, go spectate some games. In a nutshell, it's a war game involving some skill, an illusion of cooperation, and the ugly side of human nature. Go forth young recruit, and remember: Carpe Diem...Seize the day...Carpe Diem..."
First, if you really want it.
After that's done.
In all seriousness, though, just go there and do whatever you want to have fun. Mess around with different loadouts if you're the kind of knight that plans on having tons of gear and just leave once you start feeling frustrated. No use playing something that angers you.
Don't take it seriously. Until 000 does something to bring the competitive spirit back, the only thing worth doing it having fun.
1. Be a good sport. There are tons and tons of people who complain about reasons to why they lose in a game/1v1/Free-For-All. If you never complain and just play the game, you will do just fine.
2. If you come up with an overpowered strategy, don't be afraid to use it. If people complain about your strategy, it's all on them for not being able to overcome it.
3. Auto-Target is not a bad thing. If it was a bad thing, it would have been removed a long time ago. Haters gonna hate.
4. Just have a blast!
I'd tell them to read this forum and tell them this is their future.
Kinda like showing a 5 year old how he'll look on his death bed, but only if he uses AT lololololololol.
(J)elly (K)ing!!
How to succeed? Try every combination of everything, keeping in mind that things like all-bomb loadouts, all-gun loadouts, no normal def, etc. are a bad idea.
What to expect? I would warn them that everyone who plays Lockdown for the sake of playing Lockdown(a fair majority) are terrible sports, and that the recruit should aim to play Lockdown for the sake of playing with friends. I would warn them that PvP balance is a nonexistent concept, that lag is a horribly intrusive element of the game and that nothing is fair.
It'll take you a long time to get good in mindsets and even longer in equipment.
(Wish more people played T1...)
Dont play unless you pike getting beat by tryhards who spend all their mom's money on a GF ASI VH.
MlNot worth it. Stick to the arcade until you get bored, tyen find a different PvP game.
Go into it and put on the music that inspires/fires you up the most.
Also if you don't have four weapon slots and trinkets, don't bother if you are serious about winning all the time. Also coin boosters are a money pit if you have a terrible win rate. Also bribing Krogmo can be a real waste of time.
Now if they wanna play BN, I'll play with them. :)
Start in T2. Which isn't full of polaris spam. There you can actually learn to be good before you get utterly crushed in T3.
Run right towards your enemies and start shooting your totally awesome proto gun at them.
Leave Lockdown alone unless you have fiber-optics, and live in the United States. Before you try out Lockdown, make sure you feel confident about your PvE skills. If you're playing Tier 1 Lockdown, then I want to know how the heck you got a match. If you're playing Tier 2 Lockdown, always use a dusker set, and for a Striker Loadout you should be using: Stryker, Sealed Sword. For a Guardian Loadout you should be using a: Sealed Sword, 3* Brandish. For a Recon Loadout, use an: Arc Razor, Lightning Capacitor/Magnus.
These fiber optics are the key to my success!
I'd just echo what most of the people said about keeping the complaining to a minimum. In the end this game has been out for a while and a lot of people log in only to play PvP.
>Leave Lockdown alone unless you have fiber-optics, and live in the United States.
While I agree that you need to live in the US, it's not necessary to have an amazing connection. I have this 10-year-old 6 down/0.5 up plan from this piece of complete garbage called "AT&T," and while it requires is a bit of learning exactly how latency affects you, it's something you can get used to.
"The prime of LD is behind it and much of the remaining community in it is jaded and kind of on the unappealing side.
But there's hope. Somewhere."
Don't use AT, spam pola, try to win, damage means nothing, ignore feller, yawn.
