Good flying wolvers these ideas have been in my head all day I couldn't wait to come home from work and share them! It's more than obvious that a possible second expansion mission is in the works, much like Operation Crimson Hammer. But what is more exciting than anything and a nod to the players are game developers doing something special for them. Like missions created by fans for fans. I've already got two in the works so I'm just going to jot them down here.

The Knights of the Skylark
Think back for a second before the ship's crash into Cradle, forget all you know what you know about the Clockworks and think about something else entirely. That's right, I'm talking about backstory. There's nothing that I love more in a video game are backstories on a character. We'd finally be able to meet Captain Ozlo, learn a little bit more about the Alpha Squad and understand even more why Arkus defected from the Spiral Order. We also wouldn't be able to play as our avatar oh no, but how about walking about in Kozma's or Rhendon's shoes for a while? You'd be able to select your knight from the start of the level in a rotating avatar select like interface. Knights I'm considering that would make good playable characters would be Feron, Barrus, Rhendon, Kozma, Vaelyn, Kora, Bechamel, Brinks and Hahn. Whichever knight you don't select will still be intractable and some of their backstory will be revealed as well. The full list of NPC knights can be viewed here: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Category:Knights . I'm thinking that there should also be a little countdown timer in the corner as you complete tasks that other knights give you, right next to the map. The timer would be obviously counting down to the Skylark crash, so haste is key while roaming the halls. However talking to knights will either one, halt the timer or two, slow it down I haven't decided on that part yet.

Operation Cerulean Lance
Following a theme here, this is the sequel to Crimson Hammer. Thanks to your efforts, Feron and his squad were able to track down the next member in the Crimson Order. The youngest in the bunch, a feisty young gremlin named Reiki who is the suspected source of both Kataclysmic Confrontations. She is quite the expert in the undead and will bend their very will to assist her in her assignments, and has even personalized two Grimalkins to guard her hoards of treasure. Finding her was no problem at all, but getting to her has proven to be quite a challenge for Feron and his troops. These levels are undead, gremlin, fiend themed with chances of curse and poison.

The first two levels take place in graveyards, where Feron beseeches you for your help as Reiki's ghastly troops had taken off with most of his squad, and those that are left are too frightened to cary on. Kats, Zombies, Phantoms, Howlitzers and Gremlins with ghostly gear will be encountered here. Despite their appearances the Gremlins will behave as normal. The third level after retrieving his squad it is realized that Reiki is coming to meet us halfway. Feron is suspicious and tells you to stay on your toes. This level takes place in a candlestick keep, and Kats, Zombies, Howlitzers, Grimalkins, Gremlins and the occasional Black Kats are encountered. And yes, they will be dropping Ancient Pages for those who missed or didn't take part in the past events. Level four is very simple, survive. If you've been to a shadow lair before you know what I'm talking about, but with a twist for this mission. You will be running away from never ending spawning Black Kats and Grimalkins, no light, nothing. However after passing over each party button (there will be three in total) Feron and his squad will assist you and keep the monsters at bay. Black Kats can be killed, but will not drop heat, crowns or crafting items. Staying in a place for too long or not moving quickly enough will earn the spawn of three two five Carnavons who will also not drop a single thing. To escape you have to lower and raise gates to hit another switch to disable the main gate blocking off the elevator. This is the only time that the map will be lit, giving you a nice break from the Grimalkins so then three knights can focus on defeating the Carnavons and Black Kats while one knight focuses on opening the door.

Once on the fifth level Feron and his squad wishes you good luck before you confront Reiki and lets you know that he will be helping out through this fight. An arsenal and heart pads will be available before the fight begins, which is broken up into five parts.

One and three: Stages one and three of the fight are pretty simple. There are three gates that you must lower, and can only be lowered by defeating a Kat, Black Kat, Zombie, Phantom, Howlitzer, Gremlin and a Carnavon once. Do this three times and you'll be able to cross the chasm and fight Reiki head on.

Two and four: Once you reach Reiki, she will start off by attacking with her twin Deviled Rifles. These bullets will be super fast, dealing elemental damage and has a low chance of poison. All you have to do is hit her once with a oil pot and follow it up with a fire pot to make her let go of her guns. Now frustrated she will get up close and personal with Corin's Lance, dealing piercing damage and has a medium chance of curse. Just deal enough damage to her and she'll call upon one of her personalized Grimalkins to blow you back to the gate area of the fight. Also during this time, Feron's squad will be dropping the occasional heart or defense orb.

Five: After being blown back to the start for the second time now Reiki jumps down and joins you in the brawl of the undeads. And just like with Seerus, all you have to do is knock her down to zero health. Here hearts and defense orbs will be occasionally dropped, but less often than in stages two and four. Once doing so rigs the place to self destruct, and Feron calls down to you to retreat post haste!!

The sixth level is very much the same as the Aftermath for Crimson Hammer, you get a nice talk with Feron and her treasure hoard is yours for the taking! You also get a Disheveled Soul, either a 1*, 3* or 5* crafting item which can be used to make Reiki's Armor. Not only that, the next member of the Crimson Order will be found with more ease thanks to even more intel. Feron looks forward to seeing you again in apprehending him to justice.

I need 1* and 3* names for the gun and lance as Deviled Rifle and Corin's Lance will be the 5* names, Disheveled Soul will be the 5* crafting item name so I need 1* and 3* names for that as well, and I need 1*, 3* and 5* names for her armor.

So guys, any ideas for these fan-expansion missions? What should I keep, change, this that and the other thing? What would you like to see in a expansion mission? Who knows, maybe if we're lucky enough maybe ideas will become reality!

I approve..of these.."expansion missions"

I like the idea of "Knights of Skylark" more than "Operation Cerulean Lance". Honestly, I like that you're putting your idea..more on lore/story so we know more about the "origins" of "US". I'm hoping the devs will approve of this, this is good

+1
