Hello Spiral Knights developers, admins, and players.

I was thinking about you guys making a bank in SK. A bank would benefit many knights in many ways. For example:

-knights would have a more sufficient way to save up their minerals, rarities, crowns, materials, and gear

-knights won't be tempted as easily to buy stuff from basil when they know they have to save up their crowns

-knights could store promos to sell in the future

As you can see, a bank would come with many advantages as I have only named a few. The bank could also be located in the top left corner of Haeven, so it can be within anybody's grasp, regardless of rank. The bank could also sell recipes that change every week, but this is optional. My name in SK is Blaze-Neos, and this is idea for Spiral Knights. I hope you put it into action!

explain "sufficent" cause I don't understand. if you mean practical, you can search for gear in you arsenal, or order it in some ways you might like.

knights won't be tempted as easily to buy stuff from basil when they know they have to save up their crowns

make an alt on the same account, name it yourname-bank -> mail him all your crowns-> done. now you can't buy stuff by temptation.

look up, it's the same as crowns.

as you can see, we already have a way to store things easily. we don't need more.

"as I have only named a few" - I don't think you named any to be honest. It's just another button to click hoop to jump through for no practical reason.

"The bank could also sell recipes" isn't that what Hall of Heroes and the Bazaar NPC's for?

Need a bank?

1) Create another account / knight
2) Name your acc / knight with -Bank
3) Mail money to that Bank alt
4) Congratulations. You have created your own bank.

This idea is pointless. Graveyard please.

we dont need banks we already have unlimited inventory having a bank would become redundant, also even if you want to save crowns in the banks because you spent them a lot you will end going to the bank again grab your crowns and buy the stuff anyway, so in the end you will spent your crowns.

Whenever I see something like this I think of Cally from EVE Online. Started a bank in-game, made off with 790 billion ISK, then used it to buy a tricked-out warship and put a massive bounty on his own head before retreating into deep space. (All of this is allowed by the developers, by the way; it's the game's main selling point.)

How are banks useful.

Unless SK gains a feature where a PERCENTAGE of crowns is taken, like Charon in Rouge Legacy, a bank will be useless. It is one thing, when it is hard to manage your money (Like IRL.) but it is another thing when you are playing a dungeon-crawler. Normally, I prefer having all my gold on me in a dungeon-crawler in case something cool and expensive pops up. Like some accessory in the AH, or a recipe I want from Basil.
