Just wanted to air a couple of the things people do when trading that i find irritating.
1. When i say, "WTB item x" and don't list a price, and someone responds with "How much are you paying?"
*I could have easily included a price, and easily include a price when i want to make the offer. If i simply state i want to buy it, then i'd like for the seller to offer a price. I'm perfectly content for you to show up, drop the item in the trade window and we can both click confirm :) Note: whenever i respond to a WTB shout i always quote them a price.
2. When someone wants to lecture me that the item is worth waaaaayyyyy less than i asked for it.
* That's fine. I made on offer, feel free to decline if you can get it cheaper. I sell items based on, "would i rather have this item, or this many crowns". You probably don't want to buy a blue shard for 100 from me, if you want 200 blue shards, i'm okay with that.
3. When someone shouts WTB 1 iron gear. And then refuses to come to you stating, 'sorry doing lot's of business here'.
*Maybe it's true maybe it's not. Many times when selling an item i'll just state, iron gear 300, or 275 if you come to bazaar 3.
4. People who just randomly opening a trade window with you and start dropping there mats in it when you've never seen them or talked to them.
*Many times i accept the trade window cause i'm doing business with multiple people and think it is possible i forgot what they wanted. Then they start dropping scrap metal in their trade window and i wonder if this actually ever works for them. I also i wonder what kind of social ineptitude makes them think this is an efficient way to conduct trades. Let me vomit my mats on you and see what you'll give me!!!
5. People making very clear shouts like, "WTB 1 meteor. I need 1 meteor mote for my bomb." Then you /w with 1 meteor mote 1k. They say ok. You meet and open the trade window and they drop a meteor mote in their side wanting you to buy it.
*Where does this work? Who does this and why? I understand the mistype WTB instead of WTS, but when they very clearly state they wtb and they need and they will pay, why would they show up and expect you to buy from them? Isn't this a waste of their time too?
6. When you ask someone how much they want for an item, and they respond with "how much are you offering?"
* I wasn't offering, i clearly asked you how much you were asking. Again, i personally think the seller should making the offer. Isn't this how life works? How frustrating would walmart be if you got to the checkout line and was like, how much for the coffee? How much are you offering to pay for the coffee?...Repeat for every item in your basket!
7. People who take 2 minutes to put 30 shards in the trade window.
*Really? Your working on 15 APM? Click the dam* thing faster please.
8. People absolutely unwilling to negotiate.
*I won't budge 50 crowns on this 2k profit brah, can't do it. Good for you, have fun selling it to someone else. Hope it takes you 2 more days, i was already willing to pay more than it was worth just to be done with it, but you go fishing for your moby dick, find that 2k.
I know some of them may be slightly contradictory, but hey, they are my pet-peeves. I didn't say they were 100% rational, just that they annoy me :D Thanks for listening, that was cathartic :)
1. That's reasonable.
2.Stop overcharging and you wouldn't get that.
3. No comment
4. This very greatly annoys me and they get put on the ignore list after it.
5.Perhaps their WTB=I want you to buy.
6.I actually will do that, if I want to figure out your max price you are willing to go to or if I don't know what an item is actually worth, rather then guess I will try to get a range out of you.
7.They need to allow shift=10 at a time.
8.Yah, that bugs me, most will negotiate though, even I negotiate.
