The young knight tensed as the elevator beneath him and his party groaned to a stop. Where were they? He couldn't see any usual clockworks. In fact, he could see nothing but fog. He could barely see his teammates standing inches from him.
"Commander, where are we?" He tried to ask bravely but his voice was a mere squeak.
"I'm not sure, I'll radio back to-" the voice was cut off in a shriek as several hand-like vines whipped out and he vanished into the fog. Each of the party members were hauled away from the safety of the elevator. The young knight fell to the ground as a hand grasped his ankle, dragging him away. Hissing curses under his breath, he lashed out with his blazebrand and hacked at the hand until it let go. He scrambled to his feet. He was alone.
Calling out for his teammates, he wandered to and fro, trying to find the elevator. When he tried to use his radar, it was fuzzing black and white. He heard nothing but static from his radio when he tried to contact them otherwise. He suspected the fog was the reason behind the scrambled signals.
Then, he saw a figure in the distance. A moment's excitement burst through him as he called out, racing towards his teammate.
He froze when the figured turned to look at him. It had three glowing, purple eyes, taller than any creature he had ever seen. Its slender body was concealed with a cloak, seeming to float towards him. Four insect-like appendages emerged from underneath its small head, seeming to be reaching towards him as it got closer. Heaving wheezes emanated from the creature, eager to catch its prey. Insect crackles echoed off the gravestones, seeming to come from everywhere.
Finally, he found use of his legs and took off running. He threw a glance over his shoulder to see it had stopped and looked like it was ready to dig into the ground with its exceptionally long arms. It struck the ground with great force, enough for him to feel it from the distance he was at. Then, a vine-like hand thrust out of the ground and took hold of his ankle again. He fell to the ground once more and tried to hack it away but it was too late. More of these arms tore out of the ground and held him still, unable to fight back. He craned his head to see what the creature was going to do as it slowly approached. The insect appendages waved around rapidly until a strange beam of light fell on him. The knight gasped.
He closed his eyes.

With Halloween just around the corner Desna has sent formidable scouting teams to find and subdue the Punkin King, As his trickery poses a threat to every knight's safety on the wicked holiday. Some of these teams came up short handed or never returned. Spiral HQ has failed to locate the missing teams and is assuming the worst.
I really got the idea when I was trying to imagine what "halloweenified" versions of all the monsters and bosses would look like, the new update has this super mysterious and I guess scary kind of feel to it so it really got my mind into conjuring up some pretty gruesome stuff. So I started sketching stuff out, forming my ideas. Hopped into Spiral Spy and made it a reality. Hope you guys like it! =)
Put a lot of time and effort into this piece since Halloween is a fun time to do stuff like this... lol

Okay, this is the first time I have ever (maybe) entered a contest. I don't have a deviantart or a scanner on hand, would it be okay to take a pic with my iPhone and put it up to imgur? If not, I'll see what all I can draw and maybe if I could use a scanner.
That works for me man you can iphone it up if its the only way you can get a link up for your entry. Just keep in mind presentation is important when we judge so try your best to have the picture show up a bit clear =)

Judging is done the topic is pretty much ready to be posted, but before we do that we have to double check with the GM's on their prizes for the contest since we do not want to send the wrong ppl prizes.
