I've noticed that there's a fairly bad lag that happens when playing.
Usually it's around players, which is simple to explain.
But other times it's just when walking around or training.
I thought it may be because of the view or something, but then I realized that it occurs mainly when the game is spawning the monsters.

So,
Are you guys lagging? Or is it just me.
Also, do you have any solutions?

Thanks everybody!

Yes, I'm having very bad lag recently as well. I'll be warping all over the screen and its especially a PITA when the area has spike traps.. T_T

Nope, no lag for me.

To clean up some lag, delete the cookies on your computer or defrag it. It works for me. :D

I do now since I've moved for the summer. Playing on the edge of a Wi-Fi on last mile DSL while people try to watch streaming video does not work too well no matter how much QoS settings I drop into the router.

Before now I was on a well optimized connection with plenty of bandwidth in a populated area. I never experienced lag that could not be attributed to other people's actions in my building.

nope

I very rarely lag, and I'm on dorm internet (which is throttled pretty good), most of the time when I do lag it isn't enough to effect my survivability. I think I've died all of one time because of a lag spike, and that was almost a month ago now.

Always lag

Sorry OP, i lag constantly. I know people on here have some good connections, but from my experience i have been in maybe 10 parties in 7 days game time that have not complained of lag. I think were stuck with it.

I rarely lag seriously. I do lag if I play too long. My lag usually consists of about 2-5 minutes every two-three hours of gameplay.

My lag is caused by the limitations of my cpu hardware, not my connection.

Wow, I always thought it was the game creating the lag,
Not our connections/computers. :\

Oh yeah

I've been getting some horrible lag, but the cause could just be my wireless trying to reach through several walls and the fridge. I'll experiment later, and hopefully figure something out, as it's almost becoming unplayable at this point for me.

1. Try a bridge.
2. Point the antennas at your workstation/cpu.
3. Put the router up high.
4. Move it away from metal.
5. Switch the channel it's operating on.
6. Get a booster antenna.

Hm router is a wireless one,
No antennas,
I'm right next to it, literally.

But it's on the floor,
And next to my Heater. :\

All routers are wireless

All routers are wireless -.-.

Anyways mine has a built in antenna in which case you don't have to point it anywhere.

Try moving it to a non metal table or shelf up higher and for god's sake get it away from the heater.

If that doesn't work go into the router config by typing it's IP address into the URL bar in the browser, log into it, and change the channel settings. Over here in the US the good ones are 3 and 11. Perhaps a nearby wireless device is conflicting with the signal, also make sure to check the signal-noise ratio.

I used to have to deal with a router that would drop at the same time everyday until I manually went into it and change the channel settings, it was conflicting with a nearby cordless phone. Another time I had one drop the signal, every time the phone rang, again had to change the channel.

Hint: Auto Channel is NEVER good to pick.

If you do ALL of that and it still doesn't work your router is failing, sorry to say. Just try all of the steps in this post and my ones above it, replacing a router is a semi costly thing and it hardly ever needs to be done. You are right next to it, it should be working PERFECTLY.

OH and just an FYI these are steps for ALL of you who have routers and are having connection issues, including you Dragonis.
