I was reading Zeddy's thread about how the Elite mode has changed, and there was some talk about fire immunity in C42.
To be honest: didn't quite get it.

So my question would be: did status immunity change? And if so how.
Bonus: if it does would it also apply to LD? cuz if so: incoming ragestorm.

I'll probably graveyard the tread if I misunderstood.

Fire immunity doesn't appear to have changed, but certain patches of oilfire are stronger now.

Perhaps it only applies on Elite?

agree

That's my impression. I think that I've caught on fire from oil fire recently, whereas that never used to happen. I say "think" because I could have missed being hit by a gremlin flamethrower, whose fire has traditionally been stronger than oil fire.

.

I thought you could only get wisp immune? How high do you need to get to be status effect immune?

you can't

The conventional wisdom says that you can't be immune to the strongest sources of fire. But you can be immune to weaker ones, such as old toxoil. Try reading the status thread in Wiki Editors.

erhm...

Fire immunity is a "fake term" in SK. You can be fire resistant to a point you don't burn to a crips on normal status fire, but strong will always affect you no matter your UV...

Even if you walk on a patch of fire on D28 with 2X fire max, you may get burned for 3 sec, as much as you are likely to not burn at all and only take damage from the patch of fire itself.

Status medium immunity requires 2 max for all I know, I never tested any immunity with other than 2X max on fire and ice. 3 seconds is the lowest you can get NOW, before it was 1 sec when you reached that "fake immunity" state.

C42 oilpatch left by jelly have been either buffed or the resistant has been decrease

How do I know? My 6-8 months old fire immune C42 loadout is not fire immune anymore (used to ran into jelly fire and rapidly wack em while on poison to counter their attack, ASI max, DMG med, fire Max on Vog set)

So the minimum duration has changed to 3 seconds? That's kind of a big deal..
