So i dipped my toes into the tepid waters of the auction house, not knowing quite what to expect. I was initially surprised at the list fee, so i decided to create my auctions sparingly and try out a few of each.

My results have seen that i can sell 2* armors easily, and for more than i could in trade chat. Sold 4 pieces of armor in about 4 hours.

Posted a caliber competitively and a Nightblade competitively and no bites yet.

I posted some mats as the cheapest for the given mat available-i.e. i had the lowest priced mats and so far have sold none. I think it was a rocket sprocket, a force dynamo, a couple torchstones, a bushy tail. IDK for sure, there were about 5 or 6 of them.

Recipes sale very good. I posted a vog cub cap recipe for 35k, buyout 40k and it sold in literally under a minute.

Wondering what have others experienced. Primarily are you selling your mats well or equipment well or both?

Auction house is a waste of

Auction house is a waste of time currently because the listing fee and the sale fee are ridiculously high. Come on, 10%? What the heck. With most equips you are lucky if you get even with costs with CE bumping up and down. On top of that add all the masscraft results that people add and you'll have no chance to make profit on crafting equips.
Recipes business is facepalm-worthy for me. Making profit on items that are sold by an NPC? lol
Equips? Like i said earlier, gl with competing with masscrafters.
Materials? Well, if you like chump change.

@joozek

So i'll chalk you up for---Can sell mats, cannot sell equip.
Like i said, i haven't been able to sell mats, have surprisingly sold 2 and 3 star equip for decent profit.

I'm making a quite good

I'm making a quite good fortune by selling mats. I didn't try to sell equipment or receipes. Mainly because you can't sell 4* (except few) and 5* equip.

The only things I have to

The only things I have to sell right now are mats When I look at the prices of most of the materials currently on the AH and then add in the fees, I see I'd be lucky to simply break even. So I don't use the AH at all right now.

So yeah... amongst other things...

Hahaha... I auctioned a Gran Faust >____>

Oh, and a couple of 4* recipes when the margins were better. Wanted to do more, the the profit margins after factoring the 10% only was about 500 crown or so, but it's likely because of people holding the recipes wanted to get some money back for them.

*After Checking Auction House Again*

Nevermind, it looks like 4* can still be profitable after all, as long as people don't put the buy price so low. Might try that again then.

I sold my last unbound

I sold my last unbound Avenger last night, as well as lots of spare mats. Despite every ones panic mode over the last update, I'm finding it as easy if not easier to be a self sustaining player.

Thank you 000 for the AH.

I find selling mats for

I find selling mats for popular recipes quite easy. Things like Owlite Feathers and Fine Fabric. Also, as long as you sell the item, you get your listing fee back.

I play just for fun.

I play just for fun. Sometimes in a bidding war; made this one guy so pissed off he bought the buyout price of 1.1kcr for one monster bone.

Buy low sell high lol. But the only decent thing to sell is:
a) you mass craft selling junk, newbies gobble it up @ decent prices vs prepatch.
b) UV items
c) Recipe - usually very high since the overhead fee gets transferee to the buyer
d) Rare mats or mats that are 1-2* that is the required mats for popular mass-craft items
