Daily Sparks of Life?

Currently players who run out of Sparks hit a tough spot. Play easier levels? Sure, but that's boring! They want to practice in T3, even if they lose all their sparks! Go in a party? Sure, but what if people start thinking that you're a liar when you die and say that you're out? Then that poor player doesn't get to do anything. If they play normal mode, it's really rare that they get Sparks at all.

And if they play the next day, they have the same problem.

Suggestion: For each day which you log in, if you have less than 5 Sparks of Life, have Spiral HQ send them free Sparks so that they have 5. (Or use some other number, like 3) Make sure it isn't exploitable and that players can easily get more Sparks than 5. (I.e. don't send the mail if they already have a identical mail from Spiral HQ.)

I know that players who are low could always buy more, but it sucks to have zero and have no means to get more unless you go in the Arcade. (And presumably die...then start at the start...and die again...it would be annoying.)

Before anyone says it: I have 50 Sparks or so and I've never ran out.

Bound or unbound?

And if I have less than 5 SoLs, won't I get about 60 - 100 CE worth of Sparks of Life?

Khamsin did the short version, I tend to ramble...

If someone dies twice in the same level, how would going where they might only die once, with some effort, be boring?

Personally, I find using Spark after Spark pretty boring, it gets tedious. {splat} {Boing!} {splat} {Boing!} {splat} {Boing!}... and finally all monsters are gone, no achievement, off to plunder the vault.
I enjoy levels where I don't die that often. I suck, so with Danger Rooms and in Danger Missions, it's usually 5 to 10 Sparks per level when I'm alone. (It goes better when I am with an expert player.)

Anyway. Someone going to levels beyond their competence should not be rewarded, IM never humble O.

If you use 5 to 10 sparks in Stratum 6 Elite Danger Rooms and Danger Missions, you seriously suck, no offense meant because my ego is overinflated as of now. Only Darkfire Vanduck warrants 10 Sparks.

This is actually quite valid. It would prove useful to those who play aggressively and never give up until they reach the end. I'm one of those people, mind you. I played Operation: Crimson Hammer, alone, and used a total of 16 Sparks of Life throughout the journey, and the difficulty is on normal. Yeah, I know half of you guys will say I suck when it comes to this stuff, but heck, half of the time, in Tier 3 areas, I will die more than once. As I've said, I'm of one those players who refuses to give up now, despite how far they've come. I've used 8 Sparks of Life going through the Firestorm Citadel to become a Vanguard, and 6 of them when it came to 'freeing' Arkus. To some of you, I know this game isn't much of a challenge, as you probably have equipment on hand that I can only dream of, and dying is something you can easily avoid.

Nonetheless, this will definitely be something I'd like to see implemented.

Just for clarification, I had 62 Sparks of Life when the update came out and removed the mist energy usage, and I've also purchased a total of 90 more, 60 of which I shared among some of my friends on there, that I've known for years now. All of them are gone now. Just a FYI.

Alternative suggestion: play on tier one using ancient plate, two penta hearts, hp perk, and ancient plate shield. Proceed to grind tier one, as this is the safest way to daily get sparks. If you manage to die with this set up, please reconsider your mindset. Maybe it's not the game's fault. (:

Sandwich-Hero, yeah, I am the worst player ever. I burn even on freeze levels! And I don't have FoV.

What I do have is a buffer of 100+ Sparks of Life to 'finance' going somewhere dangerous once in a while though.

Haven't been to SL since the No More Mist update, and I wouldn't go there alone. Other places, as mentioned, I die less with an expert around. On Elite even, less than before that update, and less than when I'm alone.

In any case, anyone who can't be bothered to maintain a buffer of Sparks doesn't deserve free ones.

If you're even worse than I, do 3-2 Faith in Armour, to train to evade traps (there's boxes there that can have Sparks), or if you're somewhat advanced, first level of 6-1 Axes of Evil (gives ok money, isn't too tough, has ok boxes). That's the Forever Noob Home Level.

Reckless players who just waste their Sparks without being able to afford it don't deserve them either, Cyberpony. Just play where you don't die more than once per level, and they'll soon pile up.

Whimsicality, the flaw in your plan is that Ancient comes from Vanaduke Tokens...
