Why is that?
Please explain.
Why are we not allowed to wear Costumes in LD?
"Oh, look, it's a half ash tail half dusker guy. I'll go kill him."
"CRAP HE'S PRO AND IT'S A COSTUME SAVE ME AAAGH"
Then people wouldnt be able to see your tryhard gear and avoid/troll you.
It shows whos wearing what, which gives vital tactical information to people without "i-play-this-game-a-lot" UVs
Full snarbolax guy. Do you use Acheron or final flourish. Oh wait, he's actually skolver.../dead
No way this Chaos Striker can get past our voltaic tempest bombs! Wait, what's he doing? OH GOD, ABORT MISSION
No way this Chaos Striker can get past our voltaic tempest bombs! Wait, what's he doing? OH GOD, ABORT MISSION
As if that would matter what with mist immunity being a thing.
But yea, it's so you know what you're fighting.
You can't be VT immune without trinkets if you're using Chaos, though.
^ Course u can! Only need 7 pts of resist to be immune.
Shock max on both pieces will give 8 pts. Shocck max gives 6, which gives a net resist of 4 per piece.
Costumes should be allowed in T1 lockdown with proto gear only. This would boost some life into a dead tier, and let people show off their costumes and skill.
Armor natural bonuses is 4?
Low is 1, med 2, high 3, vh 4, ultra 5, and max 6.
I was under the impression that armor natural bonus (like skolver freeze resist) was at 4, and that would make chaos at -2.
This leaves a net bonus of 8 with double max shock on pieces. Needs moar testing...
Also, snarbo has high freeze and poison. UV and natural bonuses not equal. Needs testing....ZEDDY WHERE RU U
>Armor natural bonuses is 4?
>Low is 1, med 2, high 3, vh 4, ultra 5, and max 6.
Maximum is 4. There is no VH or ultra for armor. That's only for total weapon bonuses. With a maximum UV on chaos, you get +2 per piece.
Low = 1, medium = 2, high = 3, max = 4 on defensive items.
Chaos gives -2 in everything but stun and sleep and Skolver gives +4. Does that clarify?
Snarby does indeed have 3 in both freeze and poison. No testing needed there, really.
Full Skolver and full Snarbolax die in the same amount of flourish hits.
In the waiting room for Lockdown no costumes. Once LD starts then Costumes come on. It's a game of memory. If you change Loadouts your costume dissapears. Done.
I'm sick and tired of not having my costume. :P I never do PvE so no one ever gets to see it.
The difference is basically one Antigua shot. Skolver is three toothpick hits and two AP shots or three Acheron hits and one AP shot. It's the other way around with Snarby.
I'd like to wear mercurial set costume and use swords :3
*has a shocking realization*
Oh noes, I already use mercurial demo with swords D:
(seriously though, how many people besides me go out in mercurial demo and with swords?)
@Krak
That leaves ultra out of the picture and vh. Also, that means you only need 5 points of resist to be immune.
Ill test this. Tho since I did take a 2 year break previously, you are probably correct.
Generally, in any well-built PvP game, the very silhouette of friends and enemies should be instantly recognizable. Second, if said PvP game has visual items that have an impact on the game, those need to be instantly viewable as well.
@Arkate
can't tell if they have a potty-load of uvs and pentas though...
Which is why UV's should make equipment glow, or shine and trinkets should be visual. See, the problem with turning a Dungeon-Crawler into a PvP game is just about everything we see in LD today. It would be one thing if the classes had FIXED equipment, but it is another thing when they merely provide specific bonuses.
Doesn't make sense why Bn also has no costumes :L
If im correct Bn does let costumes, played it 3 times and i think each time my costume showed.
The part however that annoys me of the costumes in LD, is that the gear im using (Cobalt Armor) looks god awful there, and the final versions of it doesn't suit my "commander" preference.
Apart from that it makes sense to not have it, just if we could have some things that look pretty much identical exept with colours and accesories, (such as two of the starter gear), and if you had cobalt you could also use the starter armor for the Costume, since they both have the same styling but the proper armor just sucks visually.
Then again this may just contradict itself and people may once again not know what ranking the armor is.
Then again LD is full of 1-2 shot wolver clones (most also using AT, and some spamming polaris and such broken weapons), so it may not make much of a difference in how it goes for the usual fights.
Back then there was a glitch where BN didn't allow costumes.
If people had costumes on then you wouldn't be able to tell what kind of armor defenses they had.
So if you see a snarbi, then you use something that isn't shadow or normal damage.
That's pretty much why.
