i wanted to ask few questions and i thought you could help me do this project of mine..
i planed to start off my new youtube channel by posting some interactive videos. idea is, the video will follow my story, they will be somewhere close to 2 min. long... i will narrate the story with some pictures (or artwork) that I made.. at some points the player (viewer) will have a choice, 1 will be bad ending witch will lead to another video, telling what happeneds if you chose that option... and good "ending" witch will pretty much continue the story with more choices on the end of it, again one that ends it and one that continues it.
how does this connect to spiral knights you ask?
its story that i wrote long time ago, it follows the life of knight named Tear.. and some of his friends... point is the story is a reference/connected to/inspired by spiral knights. the voices, pictures and the story are made by me.
my goals- trough the video i would give the spiral knights the credit for idea, and with it i would help publish the game and i would entertain the viewers, in return i would monetize the videos i make.(i will use the youtube FAIR USE, also monetization means putting adds in your video witch would earn me money in return, i saw many gamer's / youtubers do it)
the reason i'm posting this here is:
1. i want to hear your opinion about this and perhaps ask for help and more ideas.
2. i am looking for someone to help me answer simple question: i'm i allowed to do something like this
many people over the youtube done it and i see similar interactive videos about minecraft. people earn money from adds in videos and they help publish the game, i'm an old SK player and i really enjoy the game a lot... i wouldn't like my work ruined or my SK account deleted. i am not trying to steal or spoil any of the games content, all that there is to it is that my story happeneds in spiral knights universe.
