So I was on a Royal Jelly run and at the boss depth I get a request saying to fight it "the hard way". So i'm wondering what exactly is "the hard way"
A "hard" way of taking down Royal Jelly
Take a flourish and proto equipment. Thats the hard way. (Kill the turret who heal the boss before demaging im or the demage you do will be useless.)
Random guess, but the starvation method?
When I was first running the RJP LOOOOONG ago, my party would sometimes focus on killing all the Polyps and keeping them dead, thus preventing the RJP from healing. It was slow, and not really that much safer, but it worked if you were lacking DPS.
Flourish with an Antigua. (actually i did it with an AP when it did Pierce damage but right now, it should be done with Antigua or Blitz)
Blitzing JK is fun :)
but it takes a long time.
Play with me on ELITE JK. I'll make it so much funner and harder. >;D

Not sure if improper grammar is an accident, or part of the joke...
And the hard way is not knowing what you're doing with a group of players who don't know what they're doing. This is basically how almost all of my spiral knights "first times" play out.
And they're so much fun.
I'm thinking they meant either without DR or without vials considering these are the most common and easiest ways to do it. Although, I personally don't really consider avoiding those methods making anything harder rather more time consuming.
