Is it possible/has it been considered that stun does damage? Not in ticks, but when first applied. As in, if being hit by a lumber does x damage, would being hit and stunned do x+ damage?

Only to your shield, IIRC.

why?

I've never seen this considered in a public forum. I've never seen any evidence that stun inflicts any damage. It would help if you would tell us why you imagine that stun might be doing damage.

No, because if it did, Stagger Storm would cause enemies to flash red like crazy.

@Bopp
As Draycos knows, I was reading Glacies shield data thread. I found it quite interesting, but he dealt with mainly stun, a possible error.

@Hexzyle
What if the damage is hidden? Is that possible? And Lumbers don't damage other enemies but stun them. There could be an anti-friendly fire frame somewhere preventing it.

It isn't. Damage has two variables: Strength, and Source. As long as Strength is greater than 0, the enemy will flash red. Source depicts who sees the damage numbers. Fire, Freeze and Shock are entities that possess the same source id as their inflictor (on the most basic level. Honestly there are heaps of different ways to program this but I'm just stating the easiest to understand way), which is why you see the damage numbers inflicted by them.

So if there's damage coming from somewhere, the enemy will flash red. If not from you, then you won't see damage numbers, but the enemy will still flash.

All statuses inflict damage on shields. That's why shields have status resistance.

Enemies have health bars. Unless the damage was 0.00000001, you'd see enemies getting weaker by walking on SS.

You can't hide damage.
