Here's a technique NOT mentioned on the wiki. Remember the tutorial? Ah, what a nostalagic experience. BUUUUUUUUUT! When the game tells you that hitting bomb blocks with swords will hurt you, the game is WRONG. Bomb blocks damage all of the knights in the explosion grid around them, but they cannot damage any knights more than 1 grid away. Luckily, swordsmen can hit them with a sword from 1 grid away from the radius, and although longer swords might make this easier, they are not required. There are people that have accidently done this before, but I'm just listing it as a technique. Purely for swordsman because bombers and gunslingers don't have to worry about this.

(P.S) Why do swordsman take more punishment than the other classes? :<

Wuuuuut? Your punctuation is

Wuuuuut? Your punctuation is ok. But you need to actually explain. And swordies take much less punishment.

That last sentence doesn't make sense.

Striking distance

A faust has both a wider and further striking distance than a flousish line sword

Yes, you can cut bomb boxes with the sword. I do this all the time in FSC. You don't have to "do it at the corner", just make sure you tap it with the end of your attack hitbox.

I'll just address the P.S. Part

The reason why sword-users are m ore prone to taking damage than the other classes is because they get more power in return. Swords: more power, less safety. Guns: less power, more safety.

Note: All of the things I said in the previous paragraph can be proven false.

Indeed. Most gunners use swiftstrike to deal competent levels of damage, and additionally they cannot get proper status resistance gear for the most part, therefore in situations where they're being bombarded with ranged attacks, they're more at risk than swordies who use legitimate shields. Rocket puppies for instance can be a nightmare for gunners.

Bomb blocks damage all of the grid around them but they can not damage more than 1 grid away. Luckily swordsman can hit with a sword from two grid away and although longer swords might make this easier they are not required as I do this quite frequently with my Combustion, Voltedge, Acheron, Barbarous Thorn Blade, Dread Venom Strike, and pretty sure Fang of Vog as it's attacks and length are the exact same as brandishes.

Are you smoking something? Rocket puppies are easier for gunners because they can shoot the rockets down from far away where swordsman have to resort to charge attacks or throwing vials to destroy a rocket.

The only reason I would imagine a gunner could have trouble is if they used a gun with really slow bullet travel like a polaris.

Destroy the rocket? If you're going up against multiple rocket puppies and focusing on destroying the rockets rather than defeating the rocket puppies, you're already losing.

Multiple? Although a rather rare occurrence mostly occurring in arena I have seen it happen but this isn't an easy situation for any class whether a swordsman or a gunner.

Rare, sure. Dangerous things are rare in the first place in this game.

Even against a single rocket

Even against a single rocket puppy, swordies can do better with a grey owlite shield. Why? Because they have higher damage output, and by the time the second rocket will have fired they will have destroyed it.

It honestly depends where it is. Three Rings have a sadistic habit of putting Rocket Puppies in the middle of spike fields.

Have any of you swordies considered getting a Valiance or AP or Nova/Storm for quick switches and turrets?

"Did you seriously just say Valiance?!?"

Valiance isn't actually that bad currently. I use it in HoI since there are no good mobile pierce guns. It is also solid for PvP. Currently that is...
