I highly suggest throwing both of those out and stick with Flourish. This choice, however, would be Vile Striker.

It is extremely good at killing gremlins and beasts. Also, I heard that it has slightly longer range.

The latter statement is false. It is however notable that the Wild Hunting Blade is just a tad slower than the Dread Venom Striker. It's hardly noticeable, though.

To save Bopp the trouble of posting, I suggest you go read his word on it. Read all of the guide, really.

Honestly, they're both decent. I'd suggest the WHB, since poison is a pretty weak status and because the WHB looks awesome (and if you have a maskeraith, you definitely don't need the vile striker). However, neither of them should be your first 5* sword, as the cutter line is one of the weakest 5* swords and you'll want a more reliable weapon when you're moving into T3.

Yeah, no. Cutters are some of the most powerful swords around. They aren't stronger than the effective lines but DVS is always only behind the effective ones, with the exception of whenever there's a Brandish that inflicts neutral damage to the target.

Note that DVS has a (little) chance to inflict poison aanf then you will do more damage... WHB deals its bonus damage on EVERY hit.

That's kinda what I meant. Cutter swords don't do specialized damage, and will always lag behind swords that do. They're perfectly usable, but you should build specialized damage gear first (and I'd suggest getting your caliber to 5* next. Its a much more useful all-round weapon in my experience).

Didn't quite get that. Figured you thought not since you said:
the cutter line is one of the weakest 5* swords
And they're really one of the strongest in terms of pure DPS.

Krakob IS right about that.. I enjoy using DVS with it's derpy DPS. @Kamishinlnoyari, you can use DVS on about anything and get more/equal damage, while WHB can only get more/equal on beasts. In order to determine which to get, I'd ask what kind of players he plays with; Like if he plays solo or not, if he/partners use vortexes, ect....
