I've been looking around the Auction House, and some of the prices there are outrageous. I saw something for like 100k (sometimes more)
Just wondering why people are making the prices so high?

I sold an Ascended Calibur for 100k, I can't imagine what somebody lucky enough to have a good 5* piece of gear unbound might get or have gotten, much less one with a good UV. I've seen some 100k+ prices on UV base weapons. 'UV: Attack Speed Increased Very High' might be worth it, but people who think they are going to get 125k for very high increased damage to gremlins are going to eat a very painful listing fee since others will list it at half that. 'UV: Charge Time Reduced' can be very valuable too, especially on bombs of course, but also on swords and guns. Depending on the sword or gun.
There are also people who are just stupid.... err, have not yet taken the time to research the market and are going to receive painful lessons in correct pricing when they get kicked with a fee for 10% of a ludicrous price. Honestly, I do not know why anyone puts up auctions for 'initial bid, 125k, buy it now 125k' ... do you really want to eat 12,500 fee every 2 days until you find a buyer? Or eat a 12,500 fee when the market value of your item steadily drops as other people put up the same item after you? I don't think people are paying proper attention to the downside of auctioning, but I suppose they will learn sooner or later. I always put up what I think is a very lowball value that I'd rather accept than start eating fees without selling and have only had the market drop out from under me too far a couple of times.
because they can.
although, stuff that'd go for 100k+ crowns would likely be an item with a very desirable uv, probably 4*/5*. unless someone's trying to sell a scrap metal for 100k in which case....gl with that. O_o
